I am going to make the experiment, with two similar string jobs, to see if the waxed one, on cross intersections only, will give a better grab/feel or not. When I tried silicone spray, it ruined the feel and made the strings slip right off too fast.

Seems like cheating, and too much of a hassle. If you can't win with a plain set of strings then maybe you need to re-evaluate your technique, not your equipment.

Isn't that like saying that everyone should use the same strings?

I've done the opposite and used sandpaper on strings when using a foam ball for 'touch tennis' - it definitely helps!

I used sand paper and it had no effect at all.

I did. The string felt smooth, like alu power does. Bgu/forten sweet cross on an h22 at 360g.

so does that mean it will be something you will do regularly or was it just a one time experiment

I am going to try it side by side, and use it in a match, to see if it results.
