I am exploring many of the new offerings in the string world and found an exceptional combination in Tornado (1.23 mm) and Sensation (1.25 mm) in a Prestige Pro at 54#. I have a few grams of lead on the PP, b/c is was so head light (still 8 pts HL with 6g, divided between 3 and 9). The strings started crisp, with great feel, and after 30-45 minutes got buttery, with great power, ball cupping and feel. With Sensation, I would bump it up a couple pounds next time out. The power and comfort are ridiculous.

I switched the crosses for 18g Gosen OG and got much more control and a little more spin potential, but I think I would drop the tension a pound if I started out this way. Comfy, but not as comfortable as the Sensation versions.

I am gonna try that. I am currently using Solinco Revolution 16g and NXT 16, and i am getting terrible durability. 6 hours average for 3 string jobs.

You getting any longevity???

Every time I add a multi-filament as a cross I get about 2 hours out of the multi. I can re-string the crosses, as they don't even notch the poly mains, but I generally just string the crosses with something like Gosen OG Micro.

I need more than 2 hours out of a string job, but would love to find something softer like this and get at least 6 or so hours.

Please check my sig. I get 11-12 hours out of this setup probably because I string it quite low.

Tornado is a soft and smooth poly so it doesn't saw through the cross as fast as other polys.

I've been playing with Tornado on the mains and Forten Sweet on the crosses and really like this combo. My mains always break first so I'm not worried about the poly sawing through the crosses.

 At least you admitted it. Tornado is the roughest twisted poly that I've ever felt, so I was rather confused.

Other than barb wire, that stuff is like barbed wire.

Still haven't had a chance to string up the tornado, racquets are occupied by tour bite and typhoon. And i have been playing some important matches so I didn't want to change it up. I'll get to it soon.

Agree. Sig Pro tornado is best poly I've tried todate and I've tried a bunch. Any decent multi with it great. I've used these multi's: 1. NRG2, 2. Sig Pro Micronite, 3. Laser Supreme, and these syn gut: 1. Sig Pro Ultra SF. NRG2 and Laser Supreme are my favorite multi's to use with it.
