Hey, that's great!

I hope you had the opportunity to learn the language and get to know the country a little.
I know of some soldiers stationed in Heidelberg who pretty much live in a 'bubble'. They have their Army homes, their own shops where they can buy all the American stuff they know from home etc. and don't really get in touch with the outside world.

I find that a little sad. When I was in the United States I wanted to get the whole experience of living in another country - like speaking English all day, eating American food, watching American sports, celebrating American holidays and so on :)

Allright guys, Germany ain't the worst... but it definitely lacks Italy's culture, food, wine, the good laidback people, the unbelievable beautiful women... and we don't have the american gas prices, which make cars like Ford F150 or Dodge Challenger affordable
We don't have so many great things here you in the US have, too many to mention here.

BUT what we have is a very, very good health insurance and a fine social security system. Gotta admit that.

It's at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY. A burb of Buffalo. That part of the park isn't developed, and it's beautiful for hiking, though it can be a bit fierce if your not a good hiker. The flame comes outta the shell rock formation, and burns all the time. It's beautiful.

There is a crack in the shell rock formation, and burning natural gas is being emitted from it. That's why they call it the eternal flame :)
