It always comes out this late. There's no reason for it to come out earlier -- it still comes out before it's even finished(i.e., before qualifying is complete).

I think they should wait until qualifying is done and then release the draw.

That Ireland show is 100% legit, and it's in conjunction with the most popular bookmaker in Ireland. They wouldn't mislead all the betters out there. We'll see how this draw goes, but if the Ireland report is legit and the AO organizers do a 'fake lottery' live, well I can only hope they are aware of the leak and decide to change the draw late

US Open's draw is on Thursday. The worst is the French Open where matches start on Sunday (instead of Monday) and the draw is still on Friday at 10 am local time. Wimbledon is the same as Aussie: Friday draw/Monday start.

Like it matters when the draw is done.

We all know both Nadal and Federer will get cakewalk draws

If Murray ends up in Federer's half, Nadal will be accused of having a "cakewalk draw".

Come to think of it, Murray is nearly always in Nadal's half of the draw:

2010 US Open: Nadal's half
2010 Wimbledon: Nadal's half
2010 French Open: Federer's half
2010 Australian Open: Nadal's half
2009 US Open: Nadal's half
2009 French Open: Nadal's half
2009 Australian Open: Nadal's half
2008 US Open: Nadal's half
2008 Wimbledon: Nadal's half

So?

It's not that he also had Nole in his side too. And Nole spent most of the time at #3 and Murray #4.

I guess the ONLY question in the entire draw ceremony is, which quarter does Murray land in.

In other words who out of Fed/Nadal/Djokovic/Soderling will be the unlucky fellow to get Andy M in the QF.

Murray is by FAR the BIGGEST threat. Davydenko and Nalbandian haven't done anything at GS level. Delpo is coming off injury..

So it's Andy Murray, where he lands might well decide who will win the AO.

10 times quarters or better at GS level... so could cause a couple of paper upsets considering he is seeded outside top 16.

but he'll probably draw verdasco, mathieu, etc.

Murray in Rafa's half!:)

soderling's quarter.

as long as nadal has to get past murray or Fed to win the AO. I think Rafa
can claim he won the AO fair and square no easy draws.

Now the pressure is on murray to make that date with nadal.
Can't see anyone stopping Fed in the other quarter.

Bryan Swartz

I think Djokovic has the easiest quarter on paper at least.

You Rafa crybabies used to complain about Djokovic ending up in Nadal's half. Roger has been getting Djokovic on his half for the past 5 slams (or even more), so naturally the crybabies will move on to Murray, despite Djokovic being consistently the higher ranked player of the two. Yawn.

There's really alot of good first round match-ups. ; Schuettler vs Verdasco
Harrison vs Mannarino; Davy vs Mayer; Fognini vs Nishikori; Luczak vs. Ljubicic. And that's just in Djoko's bracket.

I like the de Bakker vs Monfils & Gulbis vs Becker, matches. Petzchner vs Tsonga, Tomic vs Chardy, & Chela vs Llorda match-ups as well.
