Toying??
He blows it or Simon raised his game?
Gulbis is still the same kid enjoying tennis at a pro Level.
You have to be insane to think Gulbis will beat Simon.
He was destroyed, by Simon who is a better tennis player, and the result showed it.
No worries, he is preparing for the AO.
He is preparing better, but I don't think He will achieve anything.
He is a lost case.

It was all Fed's idea. He wants to meet and over confident Simon so he can dismantle him in style. Love Class.

In my years of tennis betting, I can tell you two things.

Never bet on women's tennis, it's crap shoot.
Never bet on Murray, Gulbis or Nalbandian to win even if they're 1/100 favorites.

Saw the tiebreaker and second set on the tennis channel this morning. Lost a lot of respect for Gulbis. This kid needs someone to chew him out and tell him he's wasting talent and opportunity many would die for.

He doesn't need the prize money, why should he care? He's living the life and not stuggling to make a living like 90% of tennis pros.

Take it easy guys even Rafa loses sets 6-0. Gulbis is just learning from #1

To be fair, there are many other players on tour who need the money but don't have control over their emotions. Gulbis just happens to be a potential Top 10 player.

Yes, you moron. Federer and Nadal are winning because they're struggling financially.

I didn't imply that only struggling people do well, moron. I was implying that maybe the reason behind Gulbis' apathy is that his father owns half of slovakia or whatever country he's from.

Ernie had a call from a Sydney hooker, he wanted to finish the match fast.

It's not gonna be an easy second round for Federer. Simon looks like the top 15 player he used to be and he was a bad matchup for Fed.

This.

Win.

I think this says everything that needs to be said. He's learning from the world number 1, he's making his opponents thing he's weak and unable to win, them BAM! AO finals.

Why is it that athletes should put in 100% effort and dedication to their sport? How come the same rules don't apply to everyday American's in the workforce? You should see some of the lazy people who I have to interact with everyday. They choose to work that way for the paycheck with no real passion for their job, and athletes have every right to do as they wish as well.

Oh, Ernie, Ernie, Ernie. I can't take this anymore. I cannot watch you squander your enormous talent by smashing your racquet and haranguing the umpire when you should have been winning the first set, and then donning the flippers in the second. You're like the monster in "Young Frankenstein": a powerful body with an "abby-normal" mind. I still love you, but I've had enough. I'm switching my allegiance and fantasies to that Giants pitcher, whose hair is almost as fabulous as yours. Goodbye.
