So, I currently play with a Flexpoint Prestige MP and I really like the flexible racquet, since its easy on my elbow, which also gives me some power.
My game is all about control, touch and feel.

Are there any recommendations for current racquets which are similar but maybe with a bit more power? I'm happy to trade power for comfort, btw.

Thanks!

I used to use the Flexpoint Prestige MP so I am the perfect person to help you out. After the FXP I finally found the right replacement which was the K Blade 98.. I tried all the newer Prestiges but I didn't like it at all including the MG and the YTK..

I am now in the midst of trying to move on from the KB 98 because I am not going to make the upgrade to the BLX Blade, because I feel its too demanding with the higher SW.

So if you don't mind buying older racquets for a good price then I'd highly recommend the K Blade 98, you'll make a smooth transition just like I did.

Is it a flexible racquet?

I'm wondering if it might make sense to try the youtek prestige, since I liked the classic feel of the flexpoint.

I've been using the Youtek Prestige MP for almost a year, and recently picked up a KBLade 98... It feels much stiffer on impact than the Prestige, but at the same time it does offer quite a bit more pop. If you are looking for a stick with a little more power than the Prestige it might be worth a shot, but the lighter static weight and higher SW will definitely take awhile to get used to.

No. The Youtek will give you a completely different feel than the FXP. Take my word on it. The FXP is unique in that its stiffer than all the other Prestige counterparts. Just my opinion. You want something with similar stiffness to be most comfortable.

However, the YTK Prestige is probably the closest to its original Prestige, which of course makes it very popular. If you are willing to adjust then I say try it...

The flexpoint prestige is not actually flexible. Don't get tricked by the placebo name.

The Prestige Flexpoint MP has a medium flex and the new youtek Prestige's are stiffer and a bit more harsh. I think you may need to look at some Volkl or Babolat "player" sticks to find a softer feel.

Agreed. One of the stiffest Prestiges.

I don't agree with this. The new Youtek's are no where near the stiffness of the Flexpoint. The Youtek to me feels soft compared to the FXP and extremely less harsh. Your going to want to find something stiff like the KB 98, which to my knowledge is a common racquet that FXP Prestige MP users have moved onto.. however it is now discontinued and IMHO the BLX doesn't do a good job of continuing how the K Factor Version felt.

Like I said before I'm leaning towards the new Bio 200 18x20, nothing in the racquet is really swaying me away from it.

If you compare the Prestige Flexpoint, Microgel and then the new youtek,...you will certainly feel a difference in the stiffness of the racquet. There is no doubt you may pick up a little power with the new youtek, but the feel is stiff.

Well, if you smoked some crack then the youtek prestige would be stiffer and babolat player sticks would be softer. The flexpoint prestige is the stiffest prestige made, outside of the iprestige (similar stiffness, but in a different feel).

Bring on the crack,...the babolat players frame (gt limited) is rated at 59. Prestige Flexpoint was 62 and the new youteks range from 63-66 in flex rating.

are you supplying the crack? the flexpoint prestige was 65 RA

the flexpoint was by far the stiffest prestige mp to date. the youtek was in between the LM and the FP. haven't tried the MG so i can't add to it here. OP, if you like the feel of the flexpoint but want something slightly softer, the youtek might work. it's not the same crisp feel, but it's still got that "prestige" feel to it.

^ Agreed again. For me personally I did not like the slightly softer feel that I was getting.

Why are you moving on?

Combination of the racquet being discontinued and the racquet being a tad light. Two racquets stand out in my mind as of now but they are different in their own right. The Tecnifibre 305 and the Dunlop 200 Bio 18x20.

I recommend the Dunlop for sure as it is very close to a stiff Prestige feel... the 305 not so much, you get more power and a different feel...I'm testing it out for the heck of it and maybe I'll like it !

Hi,

I recently tried out a friends Head Flexpoint 4 and loved it, I was playing some of my best tennis to date. I tried out the Head YouTek 5 Star & agree... its pretty stiff.

I haven't been able to find a good local Flexpoint 4 but just found a guy selling two Head Flexpoint Radical Tour sticks for $50 in what looks to be great shape.

Has anyone played with or play a Head Flexpoint 4 &/or a Flexpoint Radical and have any feedback?

Here is what I have found so far:

http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/feedback.html?pcode=HFP4

Lastly, which one of these would most closely resemble the Head Flexpoint 4 http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Headracquets.html

Thanks for any/all assistance, much appreciated.
