Yup, that's correct. In fact, if you go into the Racquets forum, you'll see that quite a few members here bought leftover Dolgopolov's PS 6.0 95s with the K90 paintjob from a pro shop in Germany.

they're sold out but they were/are 6.0 95s, matt paint looks nicer than the gloss in my opinion.

Why did they ever do away with the box beam on the 95?

Let me chime in on this one.

Djokolate - I know you are on a quest to find out the answer to this (have seen your other threads). So I've pulled some strings and got the answer for you. You see my uncle's brother's son is the official paint technician for Wilson and he works on the paintjobs for Roger Federer along with a few other pros. He was kind enough to take a photo for me of one of Federer's own frames he was working on so you can see the real frame that's underneath the paintjob and then what it looks like after he's done painting it.

Here you go my friend... enjoy the photo:
(And for the rest of you - let the debate of what Federer is using be once and for all closed.)

Love it! Great pictures. Roger is actually one of the few who could play with the Jack Kramer Autograph

When I was a kid I remember racquets had to have that big wooden contraption with the screws to keep from warping.

Been discussed ad nauseam in other threads where people who have bought some of his frames have posted detailed photos, weight, balance etc of them.

He uses a K6.1 Tour painted like a BLX90, with a custom made grip, Priority One leather grip and then white overgrip and with weights under the bumper strip.

Why would you ask this now after you created a thread on Federer's set up on 18 Jan which gave advice on the frame - which is not a BLX90 as you said at the bottom of your edited OP there (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=5328515&postcount=1).

Yes, it is so. There is a huge thread on it here (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=347886&highlight=federer+racquet) with a lengthy discussion on it. He in fact uses a K6.1 tour painted like a BLX. Also includes posts by Ron Yu from Priority One who customise and maintain Federer's racquets.

A number of specific posts have direct comparisons/photos:
- Comparing Fed's K6.1 with BLX paintjob to the retail BLX here (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=5049381&postcount=51) (showing the cosmetic differences)
- Side-by-side comparison of Feds K6.1 from a few years ago with his current frame here (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=5049357&postcount=49)
- Weight comparisons here (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=5051764&postcount=78) (showing them to be identical).
- The exact balances of his K6.1 and BLX paintjob frames here (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showpost.php?p=5094080&postcount=284) (showing them to be identical)

There really is no doubt that they are the same.. the only doubt that remains is what the internal make-up is like. Is it braided kevlar etc or something else etc?

Don't leave it at that, give us your wisdom & shoot the argument down with it. Bring us the evidence that will disprove those with his actual frames have provided.Please.

Very cool photo, PeterFig. Assuming it's a real painted woodie and not Photoshopped, notice that the attention to detail extends even to the butt cap. Great idea for a paint job project.

Ya I'm afraid for now it's just a Photoshopped project of mine .... however I have a couple of dozen woodies lying around the house that if I have time may end up a real paint job project.... that is if I get around to it before Wilson comes up with the next thing after BLX.

But I still don’t get why Wilson isn’t releasing these frames… I think they could tell Federer is playing with this stick, and release it instead of the 90sqin version. So “Federers-frame” wouldn’t be unplayable like the 90sqin version is.
Just a thought…
