I've been watching the Indian Wells tournament over the last week or so, and have noticed that many professionals, both men and women, now use Babolat's AeroPro Drive GT. I was just wondering if any of you could put up the names of all the professionals who use them.

Had he not been put up against Federer I bet he could've made it pretty far in the tourney, he seems pretty amazing

Mello and Andreev indeed use the Aero Pro Drive GT. I strung for both at the delray atp this year. There is a photo of Andreev frame in this thread:

Nadal, Tsonga, Andreev, Adrian Mannarino, Pere Riba, Blaz Kavcic, Ricardo Mello, Brian Dabul, Ryan Sweeting, Yuri Schukin, Rogerio Dutra Da Silva, Thiago Alves, Augustin Gensse, and Uladzimir Ignatik. At least those are the only ones in the top 200...

Really? Do you have a pic to support your claim of a GT PJ? Not saying you are wrong because I know he used a PJ Cortex but I've heard the GT got back to the "feel" of the original.

Just because you put a big number doesn't make your post right.

Ok. I mean it doesn't matter which he uses. Just didn't know if there was a picture floating around like the old cortex picture

google it.. When you do a close up on the Nadal pic, you can sometimes tell its the original APD without cortex.

Sorry there's no Santa Claus GT Cortex fans... but he's using a PJ of the original AeroDrive... See the painted-on Cortex system:

I recall seeing in a post a few months back that Tsonga actually uses a "+" version of the APD backed by pictures of the length. Now perhaps it was just a customized version of a APD, but it's not the stock APD Cortex GT.

Most likely a paintjob, but we have to research this to be sure. :)

His post is right. Look at any decent pic of his frame on a stock photo site, and you'll see the Cortex is painted on. The only version in which there is no cortex is the original. He has always used that, and there is no change to that fact.

As for the GT feeling more like the original, nothing could be less true. The Cortex is much closer to the original than the GT in almost every relevant respect, most importantly flex. The Cortex was within a point or two of the original in terms of stiffness, and the GT is at least 3-5 points stiffer on average.
