I've noticed a lot of juniors with Lux and multiple colored polys but have seen and heard complaints of shoulder and arm issues. What are the top Junior players using and what tensions are you using. I know that the pros have some of their setups listed, but was interested to see the variability of the top juniors.

Would be a great sports medicine study for preventative medicine as it relates to string type and tension. I know one that uses a hybrid lux for the mains at 54 and gut on the crosses 56. Another boys's 16, told me that he strings Lux at 59, which seems fairly harsh. But I suppose if it varies widely and would like the information.

I've just found out that the big kid from Canada, Raonic, strings his racquet in the mid 40's.

The sooner players realize that co-polys perform best at lower tensions, 30's - 40's, the better. It's difficult to get most players to understand until they give it an honest attempt. Once they try it, they are hooked.

Just go for it and string in low 40s! Try it out if you have long full strokes. It might take a few minutes to get familiar with the strings at low tensions but once you get dialed in, its remarkable. Before, I used to string with a soft co-poly hybird at mid 50s and it hurt my arm whenever I did a flat fast first serve. Now at low 40s/high 30s, I can swing away and not worry about my arm pain anymore. Because of this, I was able to swing more freely and gained at least 15mph on my first serves..and my kick 2nd...amazing!
