Just watching Wimbly Safin vs Srichaphan and notice Srichaphan practically does not have any knee bend on his serve, but serve pretty fast pace. Is he arming the ball more?

Srichaphan has an awesome serve.. 130s on the high end and 120s on the average. He does have knee bend and very nice weight transfer but I can't observe right now.. im at work.. I'll check out the match tonight and post on this thread..

Watching now, he bends his knees...But the between the legs volley while losing is stupid...

Compared to Safin, Srichaphan hardly has any knee bend. He is practically upright the moment right before he strike the ball.

Speaking of players with "those kind" of serves, is it anything like Schalken's serve? I don't think I have seen Srichaphan play since last year.

He has a knee bend. Watch closely he gets up on his serve. Lots of shoulder turn. This guy is really strong have you seen his upper body?

Paradorn's serve is nothing like Schalken's. Paradorn does bend his knees- it's not painful to watch like Schalken's.

I remember the people commenting on how there were so many elements in Srichaphan's serve that could go wrong.

It DID look good -but it was pretty inconsistent when watching. Safin's serve is much better to copy, simpler AND a little bigger.

thanks. What I recall from both of their serves was that Schalken's is very stiff looking and P-Dorn does bend his knees.

Niemanen also serves weird... Brings his racquet up right away and looks very odd.

I think Dick Norman had the worst-looking serve on tour that I have seen besides Schalken. It seemed to go pretty good, but it looked awful. Looks like he isn't quite coordinated enough to get the right motion. Anybody else agree with this?

When he brings his feet together in the pinpoint, he shuffles them a little bit. It's like he's off balance in that part of the serve motion.
