Hi! Is Tonic 15 good? How does it compare to VS and Tonic 16 and 17 both as a cross and as a main string?:)

Never tried tonic 15, but the tonic 16 is excellent and plenty durable. I get better durability and more playability from tonic 16g than 16G multi's or syn guts. Mixing tonic 16 with co-poly also gives amazing durability and the poly seems to get a bit dead before the gut breaks.

I used VS 16 as a cross and it started to fray at the 3 hour playing mark. How many more hourds will I get before it breaks? What was your experience in terms of the fraying?:)

Remember, fraying is natural with the gut. It will happen a lot and shouldn't affect playability. Did you break the strings short after? or cut them out once it frayed? What was your total string life on the VS cross setup?
