I use the head prestige MP (98 head, 18 x 20) with rpm blast (both cross & main) and i string it at 55 lbs. I was looking for a little bit more power, but these strings are expensive so i don't want to regret this. What tension would you recommend?

Don't be afraid to go to 50lbs or maybe even less as you should still get plenty of control. Alternatively you could try a hybrid for a little more pop and it might save a wee bit of money

I agree with the recommendation of going to 50 considering the stiffness of the string and the dense 18x20 string pattern. If you don't want to go down that low on tension, you can try adding weight to the frame to give it more heft.

i used to string my prestiges tighter, more around 58. I noticed that I liked RPM the best strung at 52. After the tension drop, it is around 50 and plays perfect

A lot of pros string their polys mid 40's, some even sub 40's. Most recreational players don't get free string jobs so we usually string it at mid 50's to high 50's, and play it out till the tension drops to about the ideal range. Any gut or syngut, multi's are a good 60+. I find playing with a poly at 55 to be very difficult as it feels boardy, but when it drops to about 45, it feels amazing. The bad thing about stringing to 45 is it'll drop to 35 and lower really fast if you're not restringing for short term use like playing in a tournament.
