850 is an okay string, it has nothing special about it, but there is nothing wrong with it. It is good for racquets that are stiff and don't have alot of flex.

I'm assuming you mean Alpha Gut 2000? I have used it in a full bed at 60 lbs. It is good string if you are not a string breaker. It is very soft and comfortable and offers good power. It is decent for the price but there are definitely better multis out there.

I just cut out a full bed of the string in my KBlade. The string is nice, good pocket, good power, more of a trampoline effect on touch volleys, and I found less spin than NXT or X-1 Biphase.

Good string for the price, but I think X-1 is better.

I broke alpha gut 2000 in 3.5 hours in a full bed. Now I'm trying it as a cross with head rip control. I really like the string. It's real soft and gives me good control. But I should also mention, I break the head rip in about 8.5 hours. I think that makes me a string breaker.

Where did you get the yonnie 850 soft? Isn't it discontinued?

Haven't tried the 850. But I hated the 2000. It is soft yes, but it also breaks faster than any other string I've tried. Those are the two things I remembered about it anyway.

It has been years since I used the Yonex, but if memory serves right, it looks like a silver/gray poly string and, despite its name, is not that soft.
