After gorgeous's victory again today, Just thought I would ask which player out there 'own' others! obvious the dominant number 1's of the times 'own' most but whose match ups favour the lower ranked player.
Eg simon v federer.

I don't really like the term 'own' lol

Not a big deal but this is a spoiler. Not that many care about WTA anyway, but if you have done the same about Nadal's or Fed's match there would be a lot of angry people.

Great win for Gorgeous.

As for the topic. Davydenko - Nadal maybe. Or Roddick - Djokovic? Or Nadal - Federer from 5 years ago ;)

Off the top of my head, Steffi Graf is 7-1 vs Kimiko Date and 11-4 vs Amanda Coetzer, looks like a typical lopsided Graf H2H but if you saw their matches, it was obvious Graf did not enjoy the match up vs these two players with their playing styles at all.

Or how about Ronald Agenor vs Andre Agassi.......

Well...she definitely is Wozniacki's kryptonite right now.

Post pics... Ffs :) i do however think Aza is up there competing, i would do both of course, but three days a week i would easily mix it up with Aza.

Gorgeous still is numero uno.

You are wrong.
Graf is indeed 7-1 H2H against Date and 11-4 against Coetzer.
5 of 8 Date matches were 2-set wins for Graf, same with 9 of 15 Coetzer matches.
Steffi won 15-4 sets against Date and 23-10 against Coetzer.
Coetzer had 3 of her 4 wins against an ill/injured Steffi within 5 months in 1997. 2 of these wins even in the 3 weeks before Steffi's reconstructive knee surgery which virtually ended her career.

I'll tell you something.Wozzi and Georgeous can play as often as they like as far as I'm concerned.Talk about easy on the eye and no nasty shrieking and grunting either! :)

Gorgeous is certainly very pretty in the nice-girl-next-door kind of way.

Tennis wise maybe players like Gorgeous, Groth, Marino, Laura Robson are the seeds of a new upcoming generation.

What is interesting is that Tennis is regaining credibility and that we have a healthy beatable number one. That is the best it can happen to viewers who can see a variety of players and styles winning tournaments. There is not one recipe, there are various to cook a tournament.
BRAVO JULIA!!!!! YOU HAVE COOKED A DELICIOUS GERMAN MEAL!!!!!

Julia has a great game as well as Petkovic. They work in building weapons unlike Wozniacki, who works on consistency.
That is just like leaving it up to your opponent to decide the result of the match.
Wozniacki doesn't have a forehand, hasn't had for a long time and nobody has been able to correct it, so she can't beat Kim, Julia amongst others.

It would have been better if it read " Gorgeous goes down on Wozzie again "
