GM1 i think it's the code that's etched in the buttcap below the W. tell me more than i ever want to know about this stick..

i know it's not st.vincent by the codes, however is it an old stock or those newly remade ones?

picked it up along with a yonnie for $5 for both.

if you have a scale weigh the racquets. and get a better camera. the pics are not in focus. for all i know you could've picked up a really nice snowshoe.

i asked for racquet advice.. but thanks much for your camera advice. they won't make nice snow shoes because the yonnex slightly larger than the wilson making the balance uneven if you ever venture out on more than 2ft of snow.

I was just kidding I don't really need a racket like that but I am sure you could sell them in the for sale or trade section for more than $5. I am just looking at them very close and it appears to me the Wilson does not have a bumper guard on it. If that is the case your racket is one of the very first to come out. Initially they did not have bumper guards I had a couple of them. The bad news is you can't use the newer grommet sets with those rackets as the grommets are just a little bit off. I forced some on a long time ago but they never did sit right and it took forever to get them on.

This may give you an idea of what they are worth.

indeed doesn't have a bumper guard on the top hoop. good eye. the white debris near the top are from bummer tape. i have since washed them off with a bit of mild soap.

sapient007 - looks like your frames are a Chicago Wilson Pro Staff Midsize. GMI, not GM1. If that's just headguard tape (since those came without the bumperguard) and it's not worn too much in the head, you could be looking at around $100-$200 should you decide to sell that one. The other is a nice Yonex RQ-180 model. The one that Navratilova used when she won her 9th Wimbledon singles title in 1990. Another pro that I know used that one was Jeff Tarango during his infamous match-quitting, wife-slapping Bruno Rebeuh incident (his wife slapped the chair umpire not that his wife got slapped) at Wimbledon a few years later.....that one's been going for $25-$40 on the used market. Good scores for $5 each. If you want the adhesive to come off well, try some Goo-Gone. Works great.

'sapient007' On second thought maybe I will give you $5 for those sticks. Does that include shipping? LOL Great find. Like they say one man's trash is another man's treasure. That's a mid 70s racket for sure. I dont think they made many of them before they started making the St Vincent model. They only lasted about a year if that. If I were you I would clean them up and put them on the wall.

I would if I were you. Maybe you could use 2 of them for snow shoes and play the the odd one. Just kidding guy.

You have to ask yourself what you want them for. I wouldn't play with any of the three. If all they are going to do is sit in a bag you're just throwing $5 away. If you're looking to start a racket colleciton you'll have a good start. If you are looking to resell them you could be taking your chances.

Taking chances? The PS85 is a lock for at least $80.....definitely more. With the Yonex, a bit harder, but he could sell it for $25 shipped and make his money back for both frames plus $5.

^^I agree with you on the Wilson. He may sell the Yonnex for $25 yes that is true but he asked if he should go back and get the Head racket. That depends on what Head racket he is talking about and what the condition is. He may or may not sell it. If he thinks his chances are good then by all means go get it. Something tells me it is not like the other two or he would have had pictures of three rackets. Therefore, he has to put his $5 on the table and take his chances.

Sorry. Didn't realize you were talking about the potential third racket.

Yeah, it depends on which model Head racket sapient007 happens to find.

I suggest he goes there with his phone (assuming he has one with internet connectivity) and do a quick search before plunking down another five bucks.
