View Full Version : Identical rackets with different tension ranges HPS 6.1

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased two hyper prostaff 6.1's, and noticed that the specs on the inside of the neck are different, and particularly the tension ranges.

One only lists headsize and tension range, 55 to 65

The other lists length, weight, headsize, and balance, along with a tension range of 50 to 60.

Are these rackets still identical even though one says 50-60 lbs and the other says 55 to 65? I doubt it is a typo because the tension range in KG shows the same thing, one says 23 - 27 and the other says 25 - 29.

Any ideas why this is and if i can have peace of mind knowing they're manufactured identical? They both look identical to me but ive only hit with one so far and i dont want to string the other just in case i want to return it, so i woudnt know if they felt drastically different. any help would be appreciated.

They (Chinese manufacturer for Wilson) must have put the wrong decal in the throat on the one that says "50-60". The 55-65 tension is what all 3 of mine say.

yea thats what i thought it should say, but the one that says 50-60 aso says S.I. (swing index) 6.1 on it.. so its the right decal im pretty sure

I've had the same issue with my PS Original 6.0 95. Two or three of the labels say 55-65 lbs. and one of them say 50-60 lbs. I really don't worry about what the labels say, I string them all at 68 lbs. As for the specs, I use lead tape to make sure they all have the same the same balance point.
