Graphite Matrix (first edition, sans PWS).
Heavy, head-light, oh so flexible, power when you need it, producing plenty of spin.

I've only played with the kblade 98 and I hated it. I just picked up an original Sting MIdsize at a thriftshop, and my vote goes to STING! Looks sweet and the name and blue pinstripes are reminiscent of Frodo's Elven Sword! Goblin's beware!

this is such a toughy .
the first time i ever felt like i belonged on a tennis court was with a hyper prostaff 5.1 surge .
loved the st vincent 85 i had on only clay surprisingly, the graphite was the best feeling but i couldn't harness enough topspin..
i leaded up a ksurge to 12.5 and was serving the hardest i ever had in my life...
the blx blade 98 is the one of the best flat-hitting racquets ever produces.
never got to try a hyper prostaff oversize stretch which might be looking at it's specs...
playing a hyper prostaff rok 93 and that has some of the best tough ever but i'm gonna go with the kps88 . never in my life have i hit more penetrating stroke than with that stick. as a habitual spinner on the forehand (wrist injury) , that racquet let me crush the ball low and flat, was super stably on volleys and although i lost mph on the serve i'd had people's racquets flying out of their hands on returns on multiple occasions . i have 2 of the bosworth dunlop pro's made for gimelstob that are 13+ ounces and they are like a mix between prince graphite mid/st vincent/kps 88. so the 88 for me is as good as it gets stockwise

my favorites are (in order) Hyper Pro Staff 5.0, Pro Staff Classic 4.2, Rok, PS Classic 6.1.

Pro Staff 6.0 is the best racquet Wilson ever made. They made a few others that never really caught on but for the most part its all about the 6.0 mid size. They should have never discontinued that model.

Every company should have one signature frame that never gets discontinued. For Wilson its the 6.0. Its pretty much the standard in which all Wilson player frames are judged.

ps85. The most fun but not the most ideal.

The 6.1 95 is the best line of racquets ever made.

I know I'm probably the only one, but the kblade 98 is my favorite for my game style, whereas I enjoy using the tour, but it's just not suited to my game.

Pro Staffs haven't always been hardcore players sticks. There have been some un-Pro Staff-like Pro Staffs through the years like the dual taper Pro Staffs (4.5si, 5.5si aire shell, 6.0si 110) and the 'EB' Pro Staffs (EB stood for Even Balance).

Without a doubt the 6.1 classic. Really more nostalgia for me that actual feel vs the current. The last few iterations of the 6.1 are pretty incredible.

Hyper Pro Staff Tour 95. The 18x20, 12.8 ounce, Euro edition that TW had back in 2005 or so. Loved it. Had three, sold them, now I live in regret.

Pro Staff Tour 90.

Closest in feel of all the tour 90s to the original 85. Not nearly as sluggish as the k90, and far more feel and power than the blx. I hated the blx 90.

The 6.0 95 is a close second... with lead at 12 it is an amazing racket.

The pro staff 85, in the right hands is definitely the best Wilson racquet ever produced. In my opinion there is no other comparable stick in terms of feel. I've played primarily with Wilson for most of my life, and if I had more of them, as well as more grommets it would definitely be my stick of choice.

Agreed.

I don't think Wilson made any other 95's with box beams after the PS 6.0 95 (the HPS 6.0 95 Tour doesn't count as it was the same mold and essentially the same frame as the PS 6.0 95 with just some HyperCarbon added). :(

Yeah, it's a shame that there has been no 6.0 95 successor. I would have been in heaven if they released a slightly heavier 6.0 95 along with the kps88... would have been a dream racket.

Yeah, that would have been great.

I wouldn't even mind if Wilson just brought back the original PS 6.0 95 with a new updated paintjob. That would be great, too! :)

Have an HPS 6.1 95 Tour with an 18x20 string pattern, weighs 12.9 oz, same as the PSC 6.1 95. Looks like the same mold as the PSC 6.1 & 4.2 95. Btw, the PS 4.2 95 is even better than the 6.1 IMHO. More damped, larger sweetspot, better response high in the head.

For me it has got to be the Wilson Pro Staff Original 6.0 95!!
What is not to like??
Awesome box beam, nice and thin, open string pattern, very headlight which makes for easier volleys, not as sluggish as its "bigger" brother the 85....
But I am biased:)

Not saying they are the best because I've played very few Wilsons; however, the ones I did play, I thought were fantastic... the PSC 6.1 and the N95.

1. PSC 6.1 95 18x20 is my favourite Wilson.

2. Assuming I am not playing competitively, my PS85 is great fun to hit with and gets a lot of attention from anyone in the vicinity who has some knowledge of rackets.

Fully agreed! Was this the Euro version? I think they are really very rare. I was playing with one when I was living in England and to date I have still to find another racket to match it! :) One downside however is that it is very stiff :(

Yes, I think this was known across the pond as the Euro version. Not to be confused with the longer (27.5" or 28"???) 18x20 - my version is 27" and fortunately for us in the UK there are always some available. Got my two on Fleabay, one is grip 3 and the other grip 4. I paid about £20 for one and £0 for the other, as it was cracked when I received it. Paid £20 to have the frame professionally repaired and it plays perfectly.

Sadly I have to agree that they are quite stiff frames and I have moved onto using Dunlops predominantly (4D 200 Tour and 4D 100). However, I would never get rid of my PSC 6.1s (or my PS85) as they are great rackets to hit with now and then.

Only tried a few Wilsons but here we go in order
1:N Blade 98
2:N Code 90 Tour
3:Pro Staff Classic 6.1
4:PS 85.
For me the PS 85 was fun but not forgiving enough.A top player could really make one of those babies sing if they hit with little topspin though. The N Blade is current racquet of choice after coming back from a PDRGT and I keep coming back to them whenever my game seems to drop away. The other two were ok but a little hard to handle.
