there were at least a half dozen rain delays in the weeks leading up to Wimby and the forecast is calling for rain all week.

anyone know of the most rain interrupted fortnight?

probably '91 or '97, the only times Wimbledon has played on the middle Sunday. they were still playing 1st round matches on Saturday in '97
I think Sampras played 6 matches in 7 days to win the title in '97.

Don Budge had to wait a week to play the US final in '38(& complete the Grand Slam) due to a hurricane.

WOW that is insane...too bad all I remember is some french guy getting a beatdown in the final!

Thankfully there is at least a roof on center court so we will get SOME play in every day....
