I just noticed that if Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray reaches the semifinals of the 2011 U.S. Open, they will have reached the semifinals of all four grand slams in the same year.
In the open era, this has only been achieved by:
Rod Laver - 1969
Tony Roche - 1969
Ivan Lendl - 1987
Roger Federer - 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009
Rafael Nadal - 2008
Also, Novak Djokovic would have reached the semifinals at the U.S. Open for the fifth consecutive year. Only Jimmy Connors, Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, John McEnroe, Stefan Edberg, and Roger Federer have achieved this at a Grand Slam. Interestingly, Stefan Edberg achieved this at two different Grand Slams. Amazingly, Roger Federer achieved this at all four Grand Slams.
If Federer reaches the semifinals, it would be the 8th consecutive U.S. Open semifinal. He already has reached 8 consecutive semifinals at the Australian Open. Only Connors and Lendl have reached 8 consecutive semifinals at the same grand slam.
