View Full Version : Babolat Aero Storm Tour String suggestions

So I've been using a babolat aero storm tour GT for a month or so now and I love it! I've been using babolat syn gut but it sucks so I'm wondering what relatively cheap (>$15) poly's you all would suggest. I just strung my racquet up with a relatively stiff poly and it gets the job done and I don't have arm problems but I'm just looking for something with some more bite. I already ordered sets of Tourna Big Hitter Blue Rough, Solinco Tour Bite and Kirschbaum Pro Line II. Are there any other strings you'd like to suggest?

Everyone seems to have their favorites for different reasons, and(with a few notable exceptions) prefer to string at lower tensions.
Don't get so bogged down in string choices that you forget to enjoy the game!
Just don't leave any poly in too long or you Will get arm problems.

I string poly's around 52-54 usually so that seemed to make them play pretty well

You might consider a hybrid.
Many of my clients like BHBR17 x OGSM17
Any syngut will work, though.
Try it 5lb higher than the mains.

For bite id go with signum pro tornado but. If you want a relatively cheap poly i personally like adrenaline rough. I like it more than its big brother alu rough and its cheaper and holds tension longer. Try it as a hybrid first, it is a little on the stiff side

Stiff doesn't bother me. That's good to know that there's a lux that doesn't lose tension really fast seeing as I only break strings every couple weeks

A lot of people on the boards also like black5edge. I personally hated it because it felt dead and lifeless but it really grabbed the ball

What tension did you use the B5E at?

48/51 with gosen ogm in the crosses

I thought at that tension the strings would open up for you. I figured you might have been stringing to high, but I guess not.
