14x18 - Lots of spin without much effort, and easy to string!

16x18 is my favorite. I really enjoy the fact the Yonex racquets use the 16x18 pattern on their 90 sq in. racquets. I really don't mind 16x19 and can't tell a difference in playability. It's always nice pulling tension on fewer strings though.

16x18, so easy to string but I truly miss shared holes like on the Rossignol F200

18x20 just feels too stiff and dead for my liking. Perhaps it is just because of the fact that I have never actually used a racket with anything denser than 16x19 beyond demoing. I don't get a good feel for my shots with a dense pattern and can't generate enough spin.

I like 16-18 very much too for spin, but I can't seem to not break my strings every two hours!

To me it also depends on the size of the head and the distance from the frame to the first string.
So far the best combination I have played would be 98in 16x20.
Spin with control and durability.

I prefer 16 mains over 18 and since I string for myself now, 18 crosses is always easier.

Jenny, do you work for either a racquet company or a market research firm?
Anyway, my answer is: 18x20. I find more open patterns too unpredictable.

18 x 20 with a 17 gauge string gives you ultimate control and great spin. Biggest bonus: stings last longer than an open string pattern!

I'm force to play with my TiRad for the last 3 weeks or so, I miss the 14X18 on my POG(that's been broken).

I play with 18x20 so that answers the question... however I liked the 16x20 Diablo I played with.
I also noted Wilson 16 mains are very narrow in the center... almost the same spacing as 18 mains.
also depends on the head size!
