I have a racquet with a standard molded foam handle (i.e., it does NOT have pallets). I want to remove the molded foam to get the frame back to hairpin form.

Has anyone done this? How did you do it?

Thanks in advance.

Dremel and sand paper. Oh, and patience.

set the handle in a vise, then use wood planer to shave it off. done in 3 minutes. :)

Have you actually performed this yourself?

If you did this, would you be able to use Head pallets on Babolat and Wilson racquets?

Depends on the size and shape of the hairpin. Might work with some fiddling but most likely not.

It would be great to know which brand would fit the Head pallets.

It's not that simple. For example, all my Wilson frames have had different sizes on the hairpin. The only ones that I think would work off the bat are the super thin Pro Staffs, 85 / 88 / 95. All others are way too thick.
