Does the 2009 version feel less solid when striking the ball?

I'm considering picking up the 2009 one from TW if the difference is merely paintjob.

i only ask cuz that's what the TW description says. Would like an opinion from someone who has played with both

On the racquet power page, the twistweight on the 11 PS TOUR is MUCH higher than the 09. So, either it's a mistake or the frame was tweaked slightly with more weight added to the head at 3/9.

only a paintjob as you'll find with most rackets in the last 10 years

I'm just comparing non-tour versions

If you plan on picking the 2009 Pure Storm GT, you make the right choice. In my opinion, the 2009 PS GT is the best Storm in the series. The 2011 PS GT is even softer than the 2009, which is already a flexible racquet. The 2011 PS GT is like the paint job of the 2007 Pure Storm, brown color. I'd vote for the 2009 PS GT with stiffness of 60, pretty paint job, and awesome for adding lead tape.

Has anyone compared the flex of the 09 vs 11 version using a RDC machine? Seems like a lot of people are noticing a difference between the two racquets.

So you do notice a difference between the two? I might go out and demo a 2011 Tour to see if I notice a difference next time around.

Does this info apply to the others in the series: PSL, PST?

I own and play all 3 of the Pure Storms (07 Carbon Xtreme, 09 and 11 GT's). I don't notice any difference between my 09 and 11 GT. They flex the same. The Carbon Xtreme version (Black and Orange) has a bit more flex, but I've got two more years on that one as compared the the GT's. It is less solid, however. Honestly, if you really feel the need to make sure they are no different, demo one of each, but I really do not notice a difference in the 09 and 11 GT
