View Full Version : Why all the sudden hate especially from fed fans towards Djoker??

I have noticed a lot of negative comments here about djoker since he realized his potential this year especially from fed fans. Nadal fans seem more reasonable, is that because djoker has beat him five times this year but djoker has beat fed 3 times this year too. Are fed fans scared to death that djoker will ecilpse feds achievments?? its getting pathetic.

When fed was winning everybody had to stand back and take it so now its your turn thats how life is.

Can cut the stupid comments like djoker has no slice or volleys or he can't take on net players etc because he has beatn every type of challenge out there on all surfaces. He won WIMBLEDON for surely he is a complete player!!!

Federer: 4 AO titles, 1 more final; 5 USO titles, 1 more final.

Hmm. That seems like an amazing HC player.. Djokovic is only a 'fair' HC player.

Thanks for playing!

:lol::lol:

The only player right now who has just the slightest chance of eclipsing Feds achievements is Rafael Nadal. And I don't see that happening.
Djokovic is less than a year younger than Nadal and has 7 fewer GS titles, there is not a chance he will ever get to 16. I highly doubt he will even overtake Nadal.

So if there are truly guys concerned about Fed's legacy being endangered, they should be happy that Nole is so succesful against Rafa...

I thought the conditions at the AO were not ideal for Novak? When they have the AO, I thought it was VERY hot in Melbourne.

I realize he has won it twice, but I still think he prefers cooler weather to play in.

If anything I thought that it was the *******s who were suddenly singing Djokovic's praises for "saving Fed's legacy", and it was the *********s who were spreading any hate because their guy kept getting beaten.

You are making it sound as if it's easy, and you are assuming he has the capability of remain and consistent as Federer in grandslams as well as keeping up the high level of play.

Although Djokovic is really smart with scheduling and is physically fitter this year, he is showing signs of burning out during this half, which is really one of the prices you pay for winning. I can see his play is no where the level it was in the first half of the year. Even at Wimbledon there were some signs that it was coming.

I have high respect for Djokovic has achieved, but I have my doubts about how long he'll be able to keep this up.

There is one key reason why Federer managed to consistently dominate the tour as well as delay his decline and remain as a Top 3 player. Federer's game is nowhere near as physically demanding as Nadal or Djokovic's. Nadal was originally and mainly a defensively oriented player, with certain offensive capabilities, in return he went through injury and early signs of physical decline are showing mainly in his speed. Djokovic is still young, and because he is generally more offensive, I feel he'll last longer. However, he is still really defensive in matches, he likes extending the rallies a lot more than actually finishing it off quickly, so we can safely say his game is also physically demanding albeit not as physical as Nadal. When you look at Federer on the other hand, his game is the least demanding. I don't you will find a more efficient game than Federer when he was dominant. He is mostly aggressive, but he did have some exceptional defensive abilities. He generates the largest amount of power with the least amount of effort. He relied more on his actual footwork, positioning, and anticipation rather than pure speed. And when he was on the defensive, he would turn it into an offensive position in a matter of a 2-4 shots, he doesn't really continuously stay on the defensive and let the opponent continue pressuring him and then gradually force the error or dominate the rally. His relaxed style of playing and fluidity only continue to help cut the strains on the body. The reason he's declining however is because his footwork isn't that good anymore, however somehow I doubt it actually physical reasons, since he was fine at the AO 2010 and WTF 2010. Federer's game is more demanding technically, requiring extremely accurate timing and focus as well. It's mainly that department that Federer is declining now.

Djokovic has a large amount of potential, but in order to really achieve and surpass what Federer has he needs to smart about the way he approaches the game, because the unreal defensive abilities don't last forever. He has a solid game, with no particular glaring weakness, good of both wings on the ground, exceptional at the net, reliable serve, excellent returning abilities. He just needs to shift a bit more to the offensive and he should be fine.

I agree with a lot of that post and djoker may burn out, But I have all always heard him talk about trying to shorten the points to win matches easier. At the first part of the year he was beating guys 6-0 which is what he needs to do and win in straight sets. He may adapt we will have to wait and see.

Totally disagree with the OP. True that there are a lot of new disgruntled fans with all of Djoker's success. But truth be told, 95% lie in the ********* camp. Even so-called idiots who claim Djoker was their second favourite player show their true colours now that Djoker is destroying Nadal at his peak level of play. What's really really sad is that the somewhat neutral informed *********s are also on the DJoker hate bandwagon. Our world is a testament to the precarious nature of our beliefs and the manner in which emotion rules the way of man.

This is nearly the same scenario as Murray in Cincy. Djokovic playing well in set 2, fights hard on his serve but is finally broken by the better player... retires with some phantom injury.

Djokovic retired with a sore throat just as Federer was starting to administer a beatdown. It got up a lot of people's noses at the time when Djokovic retired, especially those Federer fans annoyed at Djokovic beating Federer at the Australian Open. Personally, I think it was all blown out of proportion and that Djokovic saying "I quit" is just as legitimate a victory.

I am usually pretty good at remembering important Fed matches but I totally forgot about those things. You know why? Because the rivalry between Fed and Novak doesn't really matter that match. It's even less significant than Fed and Nalby for example. Nadal is the one who was constant pain the ***** for Fed since 2005 and everyone else doesn't even come close. So nice try but Fed fan's don't hate Novak. They sure do hate Nadal thou.

I always liked Novak because of his great personality and that's why it didn't bother me that much when he beat Fed in 2008 AO for example.

I have no idea. I've always liked Nole. He has great talent on all surfaces, he smiles during matches, he shows fire (pumps himself up when needed) and he claps for opponents + he has this goofy sense of humor off court. I'm not gonna start hating on him just because Rafa has lost to him a lot this year. It is Djoko's job to play as well as he can and I'm glad for him he's having a good stretch after all the struggling of the last 2 years. It's Rafa's and Fed's problem to raise their own level in response. It's not Novak's fault if they can't do it right now. So I'm not going to start blaming him for it.

ETA: I must say I feel rather isolated though. A lot of Nadal fans are spewing venom on Djoko atm like there's no tomorrow. I often find myself wanting to defend him, not even because I care that much but just because he's being attacked so hard and so hatefully, mostly unfairly imo. (Of course Fed fans tend to be even more rabid but I'm used to that already given how obnoxious they've often been toward Rafa.)

You are feeling the backlash of the fact Nole retired from ANOTHER match again, that's why the comments are getting to you.

Novak will NOT eclipse neither Nadal's moreso Roger's records. He is too temperamental to get there. It's easy to make your thoughts jump that he could do it because he is on a momentum, but he won't.

For the record, I like Novak's game better than Nadal. There is more variety and a bit more cerebral. That being said......

I don't have any posters in my minimalist room. I like to keep the walls blank, clean and tidy... so my mind is clear and not easily agitated like yours  No wonder the Balkans (and their supporters) is full of agitated people... they love their posters on the walls don't they...

Last time in Roland Garros Nole was beaten and outplayed and made look so clueless thus kept looking at his coach as if asking how to play tennis.... :-)

I don't say I hate Djokovic. Criticizing somebody doesn't mean you hate that person.

As opposed to Fed fans liking it when that Western European player was at the top?

I am simply curious as to why Fed fans would have no problem with a Western European dude occupying that #1 ranking. Perhaps you can give me an explanation?

Keep in mind, the Berlin Wall has long since fallen...

Really? Weren't you the same person who claimed that Fed fans hated it when the #1 spot belongs to an Eastern European?

I would love for you to shed some light on your observation without shying away from your words.

Ah, I was not aware you were joking. Sorry, mate :)

Next time, please use some emoticon, it might seem a little emotionless if you don't (see Chopin's posts ;))

I don't know who hates Djokovic among the Fed fans. Of recent, Nadal fans have looked a lot more worked up about Djokovic retiring for example, than any Federer fan. I'm not particularly a fan of Djokovic considering his defensive game and antics but other than that, I'm okay with him.

Please call him The King. It's standard protocol here. We Fed fans are humble and loyal subjects of The King and his commander YKB.
