That's venom? Do you read the stuff that's posted on this forum? What I said was true. Nadal will never the win the USO again in his career.

Tush is in sync with Rafa. If he says Rafa will win, he will.

(It's not a big call. The only player who's had a better year is Djokovic. Even in the hardcourt events at Indian Wells and Miami, Nadal made the final of both and won the first set of both [the first time he's made the final of both in the same year], and lost the Miami event in a final set tie-breaker. He did not train before Canada, so it's not surprising that he didn't do well. But now he's had time to train, he's pretty much the favorite to win this US Open. Even last year, he lost to Baghdatis at Cincy before winning the US Open. Baghdatis is ranked 59, and is nowhere near as good as this year's Mardy Fish. Fish beat Nadal this year at Cincy)

(Well, people are going to be bumping, quoting and sigging 90% of your posts next time Nadal wins a slam....)

Same can be said about your posts when he doesn't win another slam, and believe me,your posts are the ones we will be seeing, dude.

Clarky21
09-02-2011, 01:13 PM
(Yeah, good luck with that happening, Nadal not winning another slam.... really, get into reality, and accept that Nadal is not Andy Roddick )

What does Andy Roddick have to do with this? He has not won a major in close to 10 years. He has nothing to do with what I said.

Clarky21
09-02-2011, 01:20 PM
(Really? All your posts sound like they are about Andy Roddick, not Nadal. You know Nadal? The player who played in this year's Roland Garros and Wimbledon finals? I saw on the other thread you said Nadal will retire at age 27 or sooner....again, are you really talking about Nadal?)

Yep,that's him. Mark it down if you like,he will be done by the time he is 27 years old.

Clarky21
09-02-2011, 01:25 PM
(What kind of injury are we talking? He hasn't had a career-threatening injury yet. No knee surgeries, no hip/back problem. Or you think he will just get sick of being in slam finals....)

He does have bum knees and feet, not to mention he is done mentally. You simply do not understand the mental side of tennis if you cannot grasp what I am saying here.

When Rafa is counted out he wins. Has done it in the past. But, Nole will be tough. If they reach the final and both play their best it could be a classic.

Nadal won't win this one, but he will win more slams. However, he won't reach Fed, and neither will Djokovic.

Rafa's in a tough spot...Even his tardiest of ***** can admit it but the annoying part is how his detractors keep declaring and then postponing his sell by date...every slam he's won so far was supposed to be the LAST one he gets....

If he were to pull the USO 2011 miracle there would be a lot of...

"...enjoy it Rafa-*****, he's not going to win another."

its comical.

If you get the prediction right it's hardly amazing as every slam from now until either of them retires is a 50/50 toss up between Nadal and Djokovic. You're just flipping a coin and calling 'tails.'

Forget Federer, forget Delpotro, certainly forget about any random 'up-and-comer' making a dent - Djokovic and Nadal are literally the only two tennis players in the world and will be right up until either of them retires. Every slam will be shared between those two until 2016.

Nadal is the defending champion here, so everyone expects him to win. The draw is stacked against him though. Facing Golubev early in the first week, seriously?

Too early to tell. He's gonna have to pass Nalby, probably Ferrer and Murray or Delpo, all guys who have beaten him before. I will start to believe when/if Rafa makes the final. Still a long way to go.

Actually lately it's more Nadal fans who are predicting doom and gloom than anyone else. I gotta say I've never seen such pessimistic fans in my life, reading Namelessone's and Tennisfan3 posts you'd get the impression that Nadal failed to get past the 2nd round in slams and that he'll retire next year.

Nadal reached 7 finals in a row at one point this year, reached 2 slam finals and defended his RG crown. Any other player on tour aside from Djokovic would absolutely love to be in such a "tough spot" right now.

I've given up trying to tell the difference between fact and...exaggeration when it comes to Nadal's physical problems, so I can't say for a certainty that his body will hold up for the fortnight. But if it does, he's a factor, make no mistake about it. He was his old self for a set-and-a-half against Dodig, and even though he was poor in Cincy he still beat a top 20 player whilst lasting for 210 minutes.

Here in New York, he was terrible against Golubev and was at risk of going five sets. We've seen him make poor starts before, though, and often they haven't cost him down the line. Looking at him, his body language seems like that of someone who's here to win the whole thing, and I definitely think he's fresh enough to do so. Until Del Potro shows us something, Rafa is now the strong favourite to reach the final.

I am, but I am not blind. My heart always says Federer but my brain says Nadal, he will somehow (due to his clown-draw) sneak in another GS win that he didnt earn.

So do you mean that someone else somehow deserves the title more, even if Nadal eventually takes the title, beating that guy in the process?

He did not earn? Awesome logic.
