I just watched Roland Garros 2005 final again and realized that both Nadal and Puerta are left handed players. Now I'd like to know has it happened before and how often. I mean has there been 2 lefties in the slam finals before Nadal and Puerta?

Btw: I find it very strange playing against lefties, mainly because I get to play against them so seldom.

1946 Marcel Bernard vs. Jaroslav Drobny was an all lefty affair at Roland Garros. Korda-Rios (AO), Connors- McEnroe (more than once), Laver- Roche (Wim), Orantes -Connors, Vilas-Connors (US) i can recall out of open tennis at the moment.

Add Nadal vs Mello to the list. Happened this year too.
