I bring my hawk eye to every match and challenge opponents calls mercilessly.

Lately, its not keeping my eyes on the ball when volleying. Sometimes I hit extremely sharp angled volley winners without looking, other times I frame the ball and miss / hit a floater. Terrible form, and I'm not quite sure why it has crept into my game.

Well I use to be a clam person, never got angry. Though the accumulation of frustration had turned me into an angry swearing man on the court. I easily get ****ed off....and I throw my racquet 5-7 times per a match....lucky very light though.

So my weakness is my resolve and mentality.

My backhand is about 10 times worse than my forehand.

I can second that. I wish I could rely more on my backhand. Was brought up to be a one handed backhander and I still have a deep seated belief that the two handed backhand isn't the right way to go about it - in fact I would go as far as saying that it isn't real tennis (sorry Rafa)

i'm fine with players at my level but i have difficulty anticipating the shots that a player a level above me would make. by the time i react to it, it's usually too late.

That one girl in our league whose *** is so distracting it can drop your first serve percentage by about 30%.

Among many other things. But mainly that.

I use to have that problem. Before I switched to private practice, I had group practice, and there was this girl who was incredibly beautiful and hot.

I'm pretty bad at everything, but by far my biggest weakness is mental strength. If I ever find myself in a winning position I get carried away and think too far ahead, and usually end up losing or simply unable to take a break point.

Ball bashing,patience and predictability....

When things get tight, I run around everything in an attempt to clear bomb inside out forehands that often result in UE's.

My backhand... When I first started playing it was biggest weapon (one-handed, by the way). Somewhere along the way it broke down and became a huge liability to the point where I had to rely on pushing the ball with a two-hander. It's gotten slightly better lately (the one-hander), but nothing compared to how it used to be.

Funnily enough, I've been making some crazy plays with my forehand, which used to be a little weak.

My serve is a pain as well, given my height. But it's probably not as bad as it seems.

My serve. When working, at times it's a weapon but more often than not it costs me games and even matches.

I cringe every time I see "you're" written as "your."

But I guess it's kind of justified since it spares you a total of two symbols.

But the title of this thread, my friend, I can't comprehend.

I'm almost raging.

Me too! I can unload on my OHBH when I get the positioning right, but I always overstep and get too close to the ball and jam myself. Always ends up in sitters, for my opponent to just crush or me spraying the ball wide.

Focus, I have to think about the fact that I need to concentrate before every point otherwise I don't keep my eye on the ball through impact, and don't move well... It really is exhausting, I wish I had ritalin...

Focus, confidence, and intensity.

When I have all 3 of them, my game falls into place and I have nothing to worry about. If I have all of those things working for me, the only way for me to lose is if someone is just genuinely better than me. Without them, I sometimes lose to people who I probably shouldn't. But hey, that's sport.

Mental. If I'm not using a racquet to my spec's, and I know it, my game goes to hell. Anytime I play someone for the first time, my neves destroy me.

it's all in my damn head

it always has been...

I have a game that (maybe) could have done a bit better than it ever did, but I find ways to lose hitherto unimagined, and I do it at crucial times.

This is why I win a lot of consolation tournaments because I'm a seed who lost in the first round of the main draw to a 4.5 who was playing the open for experience..

Hey, Jamison, come to Australia, with any luck you will draw me!

where to start!

right now mostly mental, I am in an Agassi phase, where I actually hate tennis but cannot stop playing but when I play I am not focused and therefore movement breaks down and therefore my shots break down etc

technically my second serve, backhand groundstroke and forehand volley need work

10 Metre Monfils clay/grass/hard slides =D thats my main weakness.

I SUCK at backhands, One handed, two handed whatever backhand. Im trying one handed backhand since i don not like the short swing of the two handed, and like whipping my racquet through the air.

Footwork is a major weakness as well. When im rallying my footwork is ok and i have correct body position but as soon as he crosscourts or down the line my footwork/balance is terrible, i stand with my feet very close together because its a habit. and when i reach for the ball im off balance and find it hard to go back to recovery position.

First serve percentage, second serve quality, forehand.

Worst of all, I am a slow/sluggish starter (a lot of 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 wins in my track record) with an anxiety disorder.

So basically everything except the backhand.

My backhand is weak. Sometimes it is very wild or too long.
But biggest problem among all is my serve which is weak and lack of control.
