Just because....

Ever since I was a young boy
I hit the yellow ball
Courts from London to Japan
I must have played them all
But I ain't seen nothing like him
From any box or stall,
That quiet looking Spanish kid
Sure plays a mean dirtball

His opponents stuck like statues
His spin like a machine
Hitting all the corners
Always hitting clean
He plays by intuition
One by one the points they fall
That quiet looking Spanish kid
Sure plays a mean dirtball

He's a dirtball wizard
There's got to be a twist
A dirtball wizard
He's got such a supple wrist

How do you think he does it?
(I don't know)
What makes him so good?

He ain't got no distractions
Can't hear those shouts and yells
Don't see cameras a flashin'
Plays almost by sense of smell
Always gets it in play
No unforced errors at all
That quiet looking Spanish kid
Sure plays a mean dirtball

I thought that Guga was
The Roland Garros king
But I remember when Guga handed
His Chartrier crown to him

Even on his worst surface
He can beat the best
Uncle Toni leads him in
And he just does the rest
He's got crazy whipping forehands
Rarely seen him fall
That quiet looking Spanish kid
Sure plays a mean dirtball

I guess an apology to Pete Townsend is in order?

I'm impressed. Never new Rafa was a "deaf, dumb, and blind kid."

"One by one the points they fall" didn't flow when I sang it in my head or is it just me? Everything else went perfect but for some reason that line tripped me up, awesome job nonetheless

Is it yellow, or is it green?

I believe it's officially "optic yellow"

I believe it's officially "optic yellow"

You should put that in the title then.

How about an alternate chorus:

He's a mean sore loser
There's got to be a twist
It looks like he's injured
He's claiming it's his wrist...
