Buddy and Pedro are 2 penguins at the Toronto Zoo. They are about to be seperated, even though they are mates, in order to fufill their "biological destiny". If you haven't heard about this yet, I encourage you to look more into it, and please sign the petition to help keep this happy couple, a couple. Let Toronto Zoo know that it doesn't matter who you love, and you can't force that change.

Everyone knows that animals don't have feelings.

I wish this thread could be locked and stickied with just the two posts above. This may be the Interweb's perfect thread.

Ben, I think you should start a foundation to support the rights of allegedly homosexual Canadian penguins. All you need is a tear jerking program length commercial featuring Sally Struthers. :)

I don't judge them. It gets very cold in the Artic. :)

Furthermore, the pengs should be renamed J. Edgar and Clyde.

I think if an animal was going to be homosexual it woud have to be penquins.

While the females trudge miles though the extrem cold weather hunting. The males group into a ball and cuddle.

We had a rule in the Army: spooning isn't gay if it's less than 30 degrees outside.

Good rule.
That puts a fork in it.

This is my attempt to save 2 penguins relationship. Fearsome Forehand is on the right track though, lol!

Zoo plans to reunite them after they fulfill, as George McFly would say, their density, to propagate the species. So, as causes go, there are bigger fish to fry (oops, sorry Hadd, are we looking the help the fish too?)

Zoos are prisons. These penguins are merely exhibiting prison behavior.

^^ not necessarily. Homosexual "behaviors" have been observed in something like 450 species in the wild.

Has one of them started wearing their pants down on his thighs?
