Aerogel Butt Cap Surgery (help)

Yes, I know. A terrific set-up line for all of inclined to unleash a zinger.

I want to add some weight in the handle of my 200 Tour. But I've never removed the butt cap on an Aerogel before. I took a look and decided I should seek advice before gouging the heck out of it with a screwdriver.

Can anyone provide me with removal & replacement instructions? I would be indebted to you.

My Aerogel 300's have an indent on one side of the cap, just stick a narrow screwdriver or other similar item at a 45 degree angle and apply pressure, it should pop off easily.

Gouge away! You can always buy a new butt cap for a whopping $2.

Exactly.

I did that a couple of years ago when adding some foam inside the handles of my AG 200's to help try and reduce some vibration when I was suffering from tennis elbow. The cap pops off and back on again quite easily.
