Does anyone know figures for serves, FHs and BHs?
I have heard that the ball exit speed is about 1.5 times the RHS (because of the "trampoline effect" of the strings if you hit the ball flush. however pros also convert a lot of energy into spin so I'm sure the RHS on a 100 mph FH is way higher than the 65 mph you would theoretically need after the 1.5 formula (although the ball doesn't come at 0 pace so you might need a little less RHS than against a resting ball (serve)).
Have there ever been measurements done about the RHS of pro players?
