Not true, have seen them and sold new pairs myself for triple figures on the bay. The right buyer will pay the right price

You can probably get $100+ on the bay. I've seen vapor v's and vi's go easily for $160+

If they're not made anymore, wouldn't that make it rare 4 years later??

Just a thought...

No, just rare.

Rarity isn't the only thing that makes an item increase in value over the years. I bet there are plenty of old tennis racquets that aren't worth anything because they're not in demand.

People find something that they really like and are willing to pay more than retail because of how hard they are to find. Case in point, how many people on the forum would be willing to spend over retail price for a couple of brand new Aero Pro drive non cortex? Just using this as an example, but people find the stuff that they like and decide that they like it more than the new stuff. So if somebody really likes the V7 they will pay more to get them than the newest model.

Certain shoes garner a following, and then when the manufacturer switches from V to 6, or whatever, the changes they made sometimes make people rush to get the old one because the newer version is 'lesser'.

As far as Vapors, I think it's the VI that would go for big bucks, while the 7s are largely referred to as inferior (removal of Zoom air, etc); to the OP, the Vs... no idea.

Like with Barricades, the 6s are meh, but the Vs??? Amazing I hear...

Agreed, but for me the appeal of the Vs took a big hit with the arrival of the 9s. Zoom returned and breathability was MUCH improved over the Vs. Styling is subjective, but I like the new ones with black trim.

Maybe, you never know! It could be a gem for some people who doesn't post on these forums. Honestly, I see a lot of folks wear them in my club.

a little off topic but 2 pairs of vapor speeds on bay. :) hopefully ill win b/c then i can wear one and keep one. (i have the red/white ones too)

For recreational players the V7 is very popular mostly due to the fact that they "federer shoes" to most people and they are on sale. Usually alot of people got them because they thought the V8/V9s are too expensive.

I have 2 of these shoes, they're in white w/ blue. 1 I am currently using but not much cuz i don't want it to wear out fast. My other one is brand new. Just to post it here, these are the best shoes I've ever worn. So comfortable and light. I think these shoes are way better by far than the shoes being sold today.
