I currently am using the new prince rebel 95 and while I like the stability and plowthrough, I need something with more power and spin. The spin part is easy (switch from 18x20) and after reading reviews, it seems like the vcore 95d would be a good choice. How does it compare to the prestige pro? That seems like a great option with its control and feel but does it have as much free power as the vcore 95d?

I haven't tried the Vcore 95d, but i can tell you that the Ig prestige pro doesn't give you free power. It is a great racket if you can handle the mass of the racket. The mass along with the fast swing produces good power and pace, along with great control.

Thanks racketfever. I guess I'm looking for a player's stick that has some pop to go along with it. Any suggestions other than the 95d?

95d is a sleeper. many people used it but with the wrong string combo. it is powerful enough of a racket to play of the produce a lot of spin. it is a great players racquet and strings dictates of the rašket plays.

What string would you recommend for it? The first thought that came to my mind is the new tourna brb7 either in a full bed or in a hybrid with x-one biphase.

The V-Cores are string sensitive from 95 most to 100 least, but still quite alot.

play a polyester string that is a little bit crisp at low tension. also a less powerful string to gain some control back. signum pro tornado works good at 23/22kg or 22/21kg.

Also, be aware of Head (prestige) frames. Aren't so arm friendly!!!

Just bought this string and its my next test, just wanted to know what tension you string the v core?
Also how well does the string play.......I really like pacific strings and this had some great reviews now that I'm looking for a plush poly.....

agree with shaochieh.i currently play 95d with tornado @ 24... well it loosens up a lil bit so should be something around that value. feels great , pklays great and if u swing for power u get it. give it a try!

I have hit with all 3.

I use the RDis 200 which in my opinion is way better than both, the head ig is definitely not on par with these 2 guaranteed. RDiS 200 is extremely soft with great stability and good power, a complete package really.

Good comparison, might come down to intangibles such as feel, head shape and grip shape. Prestige pro is a TT favorite, I personally like the extra pop from the yonex. I also hate the head grip.

Yea I was all set on the prestige pro but looked at the yonex after reading the review and comments here. I'm a 4.5 player with developed strokes but am not the hardest hitter on the court so a control oriented player's stick is preferred for my game with free power being icing on the cake. The yonex will be next for me. Thanks for all of your help. I'll play around with string to see what's best. I know the kirschbaum p2 was recommended but I have to try the tourna brb7.

try the new blue kirschbaum. 24/23 kg should do the trick.

My frame came strung at 24-25 Kg but next i ll try it at 23 Kg. I think it will be more powerfull and will give more spin.
This pacific plays like Luxillon BB Original but way softer!!
