View Full Version : Lightweight low to the ground shoe?

What would be the best shoe that is both lightweight and low to the ground? Durability would be an added bonus at this point, mainly looking for the features listed above.
Also, good styling wouldn't hurt. ;)

How do previous iterations of the zoom vapor line compare? I'm not particularly pleased with the aesthetics of the 9 plus 130 dollars is pretty steep

I bought a pair of K-Swiss Speedsters a few weeks ago. I was eye-ing the new Asics Speed but I wanted to see if I could find a less expensive alternative first.
I couldn't be happier. The Speedsters performed beyond my expectations. They did weigh in at just over 12ozs, they have the low to the ground feel while achieving awesome cushioning.
I did not feel as fatigued as much as I normally did in my previous shoes. Could be partly because of the cushioning, partly because of vastly improved foot work, and I found myself moving more confidently and probably working not as hard during the points. I never felt unstable moving either side to side or coming to net.
Still early to render a verdict on durability, but there are no major issues at this point. I highly suggest anyone to try it if you don't care about how plain they look. In all honesty considering the performance you get out of it for the price it really is a great deal.

Asics gel dedicates are very low to the ground and very comfortable. They are pretty light.
