View Full Version : What past shoe do you want to see reintroduced?

Is there a shoe from the past that you would buy if it were reintroduced? For me, if they reintroduced the Gel Resolution 2, I would buy 10 pairs.

Anyone else want to see an old shoe make a comeback?

Adidas a3 Prevail. Never has there been a more perfect shoe for me. Loved the fit, the looks (owned multiple colors),the performance, the quality. Had about 6 pairs before they were discontinued. Always liked them better than Barricades, and they were a little cheaper.

I wore the 5's recently after wearing the 7s for about a month and could not wait to take them off... 7 is at least a step above the 5s and a few steps above the 6s and the rest of the line

Nike Air Oscillates. Specifically, the Jordan colorway (red/black). Also love the classic white/black and the clay-specific model that was released. The only trouble with this model was the length. I had to wear a full size larger.

Aside from the Oscillate, I'd like to see the Barricade 3 again.

It's funny OP made this thread, I just started looking through the new Barricade line since my V's are starting to get worn, and I'm sad I can't get new ones. It seems others like that shoe as much as I. The overall score for the V was higher than the VI according to TW.....

Care to delve a little further on the VII's?

Here's the reviews for the V's, VI's, and VII's in case anyone wanted to compare:

Because if they don't keep coming out with new models, that shoe would get old and people would stop buying it...

Been using fresh pair of these the last month or so. Have this exact colorway that's been sitting on the shelf for ten years, the glue has gone bad and the forefoot disconnected while playing, shoe doctor reglued and they are holding but they are ripping around the toe's leather area.

I also have a grey/white/red clay pair I've never touched as there are no clay courts around.

Great shoe.

Nike is really blowing it. And now they're charging $130 for a pair of Vapors? Every time they come out with a great shoe, like the Implosions, the Air Tech Challenge, the Air Flare or the Air Zoom Tennis Trainer, they eventually discontinue it. I'll probably be switching to another shoe brand soon. Thanks for the memories, Phil Knight....

Yep, they would need it. The soles on those shoes all around the back just fell apart when it got a little used - especially if it'd ever got damp at all. It discoloured quickly too. They were utter rubbish in that respect.

Yeah, I had the second generation, I think? The McEnroe blue/orange that looked like they had paint splatters. Great shoe, but the duratech rubber was nowhere near xdr. Those, the Air Jordan 3, and the nike air trainer are my 3 favorite sneakers of all time.
