Just bought 3 new Wilson pro-staff 95 and went to change all the grips to babolat leather and all three but caps have a staple that is not correctly fitted. I don't understand how they can't get something as simple as a staple flush on the butt cap. Quality control sucks. Please feel free to post what really grinds your gears.

+1.

What grinds my gears is that yonex doesn't make oval heads.

Conditions in Chinese factories aren't exactly ideal so I'm sure there's a lot of substandard work.

Nothing to do with Chinese factories, it's just that quality control costs money and neither Wilson, nor the customer want to pay for that.
That´s why you get substandard work.

If they don't want to pay the money then workers aren't paid well, skill levels are low, control is bad and hence conditions in Chinese factories aren't exactly ideal.

From what I've read, Chinese factories are losing their competitive advantage with rising labour costs and so maybe quality is suffering to constrain unit costs.

That's not the point. I can and have removed the suspect staple, but many people may not realize that the little bump under the grip that keeps annoying them is indeed a incorrectly fitted staple. I never understand why people get on here just to bag others out.

Probably for the same reason that people get on here just to gripe.

Yeah actually I didn't know how to edit thread titles. But glad you had a laugh at my expense.

Yeah it's irritating to get something wrong that would have taken the same amount of time to do correctly.

When you are rich and famous like you are, you have an obligation to give autographs and be nice to your fans.

The overall lack of availability of the frames I want (ncode 6.1 18x20, PT630, PC600, other classic 18x20). Well, I guess I should say availability isn't necessarily an issue but price and good condition of said frames at prices amenable to my budget definitely are.

I couldn't agree more! I wish I could get a PC600 at a reasonable price! LOL!

Coming from an experience w/Prince's QC which yielded me two identical model sticks that were not only 0.7 oz apart in static weight but were significantly different in terms of their overall flex, a mere misaligned staple on the butt cap would be a very welcome annoyance. Sorry to downplay your frustration but when the talk turns to QC, there are some atrocious examples out there.
