View Full Version : Star ratings on threads-- why?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but...

I don't see what purpose the star ratings on threads serve. They don't help me navigate the forums, and it irritates me to see perfectly reasonable threads with 1-star ratings because somebody apparently dislikes them for some reason. I think the forums would be a better place if they were gone.

So we can leave our opinions?

I say get rid of the star ratings. They are rarely used on here. Strip off the dead wood.

I gave this thread a 3 star, average rating.

Here's a recent example:

Looks like a friendly, on-topic, basically typical video feedback thread. Somebody decided to give it one star-- we have no clue who or why. I don't see the value here.
