I am having trouble deciding on either a drop-weight machine with fixed clamps like the progression 602FC or the silent partner e.stringer CL. I would buy the e. stringer in a heartbeat if I knew that it would be accurate and stay accurate with tensioning. What are your thoughts? Also would the e.stringer be a constand pull machine or lockout?

the e.stringer would be constant pull.

It should also be accurate with tensioning, you can borrow a calibrator if you want to check however.

also I want the machine to last for a long time(more than 5 years) but sp only has a warranty on the electrionic tensioner for a year. So I think my best bet mightbe going with a drop-weight

christian, I understand that the e-stringers are not true constant pull in that the tension has to drop several lbs. before it will repull the tension. This would be worth confirming directly with them. The Gamma 602FC or the Alpha Pioneer DC would also be good choices.
