Hey people, my right shoe wears out much faster than my left shoe and I am left-handed. I was just wondering if there was a correlation.

I am a southpaw. I sometimes wear out the right shoe first but usually it's the left shoe that goes first. It might partially be a function of how many open-stance FHs I hit.

Usually the toe area of my right shoe is the one that gets me the warranty replacement but the inside hill part of my left shoe wears down almost at the same pace.

right shoe, toe area first mostly for the warranty.. ...holes usually appear on the right shoe first..I wear superfeet insoles on the left shoe, maybe that has something to do with it.

My right shoe takes the most abuse, due to sliding on hardcourts.

Right handed and the right toe area on the sole has never lasted more than 2 months.

Thus far it seems that both lefties and righties tend to wear out the right shoe quicker (more that 2 to 1).

As much as I'd like to draw inferences from this poll, and all in good fun, I think it's important to keep in mind that TT members vary drastically in technique, footwork, and playstyle.

Despite the self-proclaimed disclaimer, I think the current poll is a result of more open stance, back-foot forehands. Who knows.

I'm a lefty and my right shoe wore out faster. Maybe it's because my right foot is my dominant foot.

Right handed and my right shoe wears out first. I burn a hole in the front from bringing my right foot forward during my serve.

right handed, left toe area

^^^ This. I drag the inside left toe area on open-stance forehands. I also keep both feet planted on the serve.

If you completely destroy one shoe while the other is still in great condition, you might want to start a thread in the Buy/Sell Forum and see if you can buy/sell/trade the single shoe.

With popular models like Barricades, T22, and some Nikes, you just might find other people who are having the similar uneven, asymmetric wear problems, and you can do one another some good.
