He's reached his first masters final, but has to play a doubles match against Nadal which will tire the crap out of him even more. May be he should just pull out to save energy for the singles final.

He cannot pull out without disrespecting Ellison.

When is that match?

Remember the Mahut match? He had to play doubles the next day.

I love this kid. He is my favorite player .

Nope, Nadal has nothing to lose :)

Hopefully the Quisner match will not take a lot of energy out of him; I'm just hoping that his serving shoulder is doing fine - that is the one area that could suffer from the extra serves in the doubles match.

the doubles match is after the singles

The doubles match is after the singles, so there's nothing to worry about anymore.

Does anyone know what the minimum rest they give them is? Singles match is schedule for 1pm PST, then the doubles takes place right after at 2:30.

It says "After minimal rest" though, which I'm guessing means that if the singles goes until 2:30, they'll let him rest for 30min or so? I don't know if there's an actual rule that states what "minimal rest" is.
