Super sturdy Gamma base

Some cosmetic blemishes.
Not new!
A few rubber racquet guards are missing.
Power switch has broken clip that holds it In place, but works fine.
Plastic turntable handle snapped, but tightens fine.
A few dollars in small plastic parts and it's in great.

Someone in my area selling for 500$. Would this be better over my wise tensioner and gamma progression st ii?

I would probably stay away at this point in time considering parts are no longer available, unless you know for sure the electronics and motor are in great shape.

W-a-y back when I and a local shop owner had access to multiple original Star and StarII machines(ca 1990), this would be a pretty good deal. As drak said, the electronics and motor would be the main concern since they can render the machine DOA if something goes amiss.

Not saying the machine isn't 10+ years old, but it could be 20 easy. ;) Good deal for someone with an extensive early Star background and/or spare parts/machines.
