I hope MUrray wins a GS in his life-time, but I'm seriously doubting it at this point, given that Murray has gone pretty much straight downhill since losing the AU 2012, and seems to be injured.

I'd like to see Murray win Wimbledon for the novelty of it but other than that I don't really care if he wins a major.

...Just like this is the most unlikely slam for Federer at this point, right ?
Funnier things have happened in tennis..

It would make sense. Agassi was considered extremely suited to Roland Garros but lost 2 finals. He was considered ill-suited to Wimbledon but ended up winning his first slam there in 1992. The Murray story may follow the same ironic pattern (although Murray made the Roland Garros semi-final last year and had 18 breakpoints vs Nadal, so he really isn't ill-suited to Roland Garros).

Was starting to think the Lendl Influence was working and a major title would be imminent. But in his last few matches Murray has reverted to the whiny, pouty, rich kid who caves in when things start getting tough.

I hope so too. would make Federer's chances of reclaiming no. 1 even bigger. He won't win it himself anyway. Murray winning the French would be fun.

Rich kid? I think you've got him confused with Ernests Gulbis!

He has not won a clay title what makes you think he can get to the semis let alone win the thing.

It would be great fun. Alas, it ain't gonna happen, not this year for sure. His performances at his last 3 clay events have not been particularly impressive (couldn't even win an exho match this week against a guy he's never lost to before). So it's hard to see how he can suddenly reach top form at the premier clay event of the season. Not impossible, just highly unlikely.

I have to expect an early exit for him from RG this year (in fact I was kinda hoping he'd pull out) and just keep my fingers crossed he can regain some form ahead of Queens, Wimbledon and the Olympics.

Well, he got to the semis last year without winning a clay title. But I agree that his form this year on clay is well down on last year so, as I just said, it doesn't seem very likely.

Murray's chances of winning FO are about as good as Santoro's, and he's not even playing.
