Raquetball sure used to mess with my tennis game. There's a lot of wrist in the raquetball swing, which would sometimes translate into my tennis swing, screwing it up.
Not sure about squash, which may be less wristy...

I totally disagree. Badminton doesnt hamper with Tennis. The strokes are very different.
I have included part of an article from another Tennis website here.
I have represented badminton at my university level and now i do play badminton at club level all through the winter.
For me personally, It has helped my Tennis a lot. Smash is my best shot in badminton and not so surprisingly in Tennis, Serve is my best shot followed by overheads.
The footwork needed is very similar. Above all , the Great conditioning needed to play badminton always helps in tennis.
As far as stroke mechanics go, the strokes are very different.

You might be wondering why I haven't mentioned the other racquet sports as good complements to tennis. Only one of them has a strongly positive influence on tennis, and that is table tennis. Unlike most other racquet sports in which spin, especially topspin, is either useless or detrimental, table tennis uses spins much as tennis does. Just like in tennis, topspin makes the ball drop sooner and kick faster and higher on its bounce. Slices make the ball curve, skid, and carry deeper just like in tennis. And, most important, table tennis strokes don't require any motions that will become bad habits on the tennis court.
Most of the other racquet sports have a mixed influence on tennis, and they will be discussed in Sports That Hurt Your Tennis. One racquet sport that should not harm your tennis, but is probably only slightly helpful is badminton. Often called the world's fastest sport, badminton will certainly improve your reaction time, and it should help your overhead and positioning as well. The other badminton strokes are so different, they shouldn't affect your tennis strokes.

I'm taking racquet sports at my school but I'm familiar with badminton. Didn't even really know what it was till I had to play it for 2 weeks. I didn't really pay attention to stroke mechanics in badminton, I probably just did whatever I could to get the little bird over the net. But I noticed that obviously since it isn't a ball and the way its shaped, it doesn't spin. The emphasis was agility and getting to the ball on time. I didn't think the badminton was similar to tennis at all.
