I've noticed that especially on Nadal and Novak. Looking back just two years ago, they look way way younger.

Or Mardy Fish for example. He looks like he's 40!

I've heard people who travel on planes a lot, are getting old faster then others (example pilots or stewardesses)

It is because they are in the sun a lot. Skin damage makes skin lose elasticity, which makes you look older.

This is true, marathon matches with Novak and rafa at Miami, Indian wells last year are a good example of this.

Nadal looks much older than Federer.

That's why I'd never want my son to become a tennis player, to see him burning in the sun (even though there are sun screens) and getting older twice as fast as a normal person may not be worth it.

federer honestly looks 5 or so years older than his actual age... and i've been thinking that for a while. novak and nadal, too, look older. may be a mixture of sun exposure, genes, and stress?

Federer looks way younger than a 35 year old in my opinion.

Try travelling over 100,000 miles a year, playing constantly in the sun, having to answer stupid and redundant media questions and dealing with idiotic fans and you'd look older than you are too.

Most of them hit the pro tour in their teens, and yes being in the sun wouldn't help. But a lot of people change plenty from age 18-28.

Federer looks like a 40 year old guy!

The problem here is that you are using Goffin as a benchmark to estimate age.

Federer looks 40? Yes, compared to Goffin.

Other than that, Federer looks about 30 to me.

Take a look at Sampras, the guy looks about as old as my father does and isn't even 50 yet.

Not sure what standards you are judging by, I very rarely see a guy who is only 30 who looks like Federer. If I saw the man on the street I would think he was at least 40.

They estimated ten years ago, and wrote in mainstream media, that half the athletes in the next ten years would be "created" via machine parts. By handlers that just couldn't resist cheating.

I don't know what standards you are judging by. I would not say anything more than early 30s if I saw someone like Federer walk by in person.

Djokovic does not look old for his age to me.

Yeah, he looked much younger in 2006-2007 because he was only 19-20. His facial features have developed more since then. His chin has become way pointier.

I think its like that in all sports.

Lebron doesn't look like he's 27 and KD doesn't look like he's 23 (looks much older

In 07 djoker looked very young he does look a lot older now about 27 (even though he is 25) so it's not too bad in his case but nadal and especially fed look old before their time. A couple of years ago I played tennis in the sun all summer by end I looked like death now I wear a cap and sunscreen but try to avoid high temperatures.

The sun giveth and taketh away!

People with fair skin normally age faster than people with darker skin. I'm willing to bet that Nadal will age fairly well because of his skin color, so will the Williams for obvious reasons.

there we go. you said it big mikey money shot. The sun just rapes lighter skin. Absolutely rapes the sh#t out of it.

Why else do you think that only white people have freckles?
