I don't hate any of the players. I love Federer and his game, I admire Djokovic's game, am indifferent toward's Murray's, and don't particularly like Nadal's. I respect all of them and their achievements.

It's the fans (*****, really) that are irritating, from all fan groups. I can definitely see how fans can ruin the image and perception of the players themselves.

I don't really hate any of them, but their fanboys really drive me nuts, especially those who act like bullies just because they are in the majority. Don't hide in the crowd. Fight one-on-one, fight fair.

I'm a Djoker fan, but also like Fed and Murray. Not so keen on Nadal, but still can't deny he's an all time great.

From general experience, Murray seems to have the best fanbase (maybe because he hasn't won a slam yet?). There is a constant level of Murray bashing on these forums, but they don't take the bait. It's quite admirable.

Do I hate Murray? I don't think so. I don't like how he plays or how he acts on or off the court but "hate"? Probably not. However, I am taking matters into my own hands to combat the smothering UK-Mardism.

Yeah Djokovic used to have the best fanbase untilhe started winning everything and then The ***** duly appeared just like with Fed and Nads.

Anyway, I'm a fan of Federer and Djokovic. Nadal is ok, but don't really support him. Don't really like Muzza, but he is a very good player and I don't really laugh at players and disrespect them.

Yes, like after almost getting beaten by some unknown players twice in a row, they still believe their idol is gonna win against the #1 in the world which is in very great form. Their idol's magic has not appeared anywhere lately but will definitely come into place when facing currently the best player on earth. They are blinded by their adoration and his idol's past glories and can just forget all his idol's faults (like playing *****ty against non-top player), which really makes people want to puke.

Get off your high horse. I agree with you that Djokovic is currently a better player than Federer and that Federer will likely lose if he meets Djokovic in the SF but there is always a chance, no matter how small, that Federer could appear in God-mode on that particular day at a tournament he has won 6 previous times whereas Djokovic has only one it once. I would say Djokovic has an 80% chance of beating Federer if they meet, but I would never say Djokovic has a 100% chance and if you do, good for you.

Novak is the best player on earth? If that is so, why didn't he win the FO against Nadal and why did Novak lose three clay tournaments in a row to Nadal this year. Also, where was Novak at Indian Wells this year? I believe he lost to Isner in the SF and Federer went on to defeat Nadal for that title is that correct? In addition, how many titles has Novak won in 2012? Two right. How many has Federer won? Four. How is it that an old man at almost 31 has won more titles than the best player this year according to you? I know Djokovic won a slam and Federer did not, but still.

Assuming you admit you are the kinda person you describe (making people puke), bravo to that. And it must have pained you to say that Djokovic has a 80% chance to beat Fed, which is very generous really.

But wait, if we are talking purely about possibility that we can't count out anyone who is still in the competition, and that anything can happen unless he is out, I don't think anyone would waste their time arguing about something that is so obvious. But hey, you are a troll, wasting time doing something meaningless is kinda your forte right. So I'm gonna excuse you on this one, and reiterate again our deal, we are betting on who's gonna win when djokovic and federer meet in the SF, and you look forward to me losing that bet, which implies that you think fed will win against djokovic. But now you chicken out, why? Never mind, you are just trolling. That's what a troll does right?

Nole is the best player on earth currently, but that does not mean he has to win everything to become one, the same applies to Fed, who does not win everything, but still is considered the GOAT (at least by *******s), so your argument is just silly here (as expected). And did I argue with you how many titles they won this year? No. It seems like you need to work on your reading skills as well. And you can't just randomly choose one out of a hundred examples to prove your point. If so, then why don't you tell me how many slams Fed won this past two years? How many matches Fed won against Djokovic lately?

The best player currently is the #1 ranked player currently. I hope it's not too hard for a troll to understand.

Didn't you still believe Djokovic could beat the current and all time greatest clay court player even after he almost lost to Seppi and average clay courter Tsonga? A bit biased methinks..

Djokovic is favourite no doubt, but judging by the 5 slam meetings from 2010 US Open onwards, two were Straight sets wins for Djokovic in very easy fashion, one was a win for Federer, 2 were 5 set wins for Djokovic that could have gone both ways. If only Novak had double faulted against Federer instead of Nadal (at the French this year) Novak might have never lost to Nadal in a slam final.. but oh well.

Djokovic hasn't looked that great all the way through, himself. Losing a set to oldman Steppy? Old man Fed will probably win a set, especially if it goes to a tiebreak. But you never know, he has a small chance at the win. laugh all you want, but I wasn't laughing when Federer chose the French Open 2011 semi to play vintage tennis and take out the guy I was rooting for. Why Federer, why? Why couldn't you just lose that time?

I suspect you weren't laughing either

I was there yesterday, but didn't get to see much tennis because of the rain.

Spoke with Carlo, Lars the two umpires. They were just relaxing outside, and no one was noticing them until I shouted their names out.

Lars was on the phone, and point in my direction in a sign of acknowledgement.

Carlos was telling me about his schedule, he is off to Umag next, then Hamburg, then back for the Olympics. This was before he went in for the Murray match

Saw a few others. Rusedski's face was covered in acne!

I get hating some dictator who has been known to do awful stuff or some two faced politician(a pleonasm really) but a sportsman? Get the f**k out of here, people will rage on the smallest things if they can.

Ballotelli is probably one of the dumbest persons that I've seen in the limelight(for those that don't follow football/soccer,just google him), makes a guy like Rooney seem like Tesla yet I always laugh when I see hate coming his way, with people so outraged by his stupidity just because he's a public person that makes a lot of money by kicking a ball.

I am a huge Nadal fan. I actually am happy seeing Nadal even where he is. To be able to win all 4 slams and break a lot of records in the process, I am just happy enough for him to be able to even achieve this much. Especially after being written off as a one-court wonder early in his career (and going by posts here, even now I guess. hehe) I think Federer is GOAT, but I am kinda indifferent towards his game. I don't find it interesting enough, perhaps because it is so textbook. Likewise, kinda indifferent towards Djokovic too. I do like his overall game, but there is nothing outright spectacular about it. I love Andy Murray's game, and I really want him to win this Wimby, now that Nadal is out. It is one of the more beautiful games in tennis now. But Nadal, of course, for the win. As good as Sampras and Federer are, Agassi and Nadal are the more special champions in the sport I think.

Hood_Man

My fave is Fed, no question about that, but I respect what the others have done.

I do find I tend to root for Murray and Djokovic more than I would root for Nadal (notable exceptions being Monte Carlo 2010 when I turned into a full blown Nadal fanboy, and Doha 2011 when Davydenko was serving for a 2nd set bagel and Nadal suddenly discovered some form and nearly won 3 games in a row), but at the same time I admire and appreciate what Nadal has done for the sport, and indeed what he has done for me as a Fed fan.

Summer 2009 wouldn't have felt nearly as special if Nadal hadn't beaten Federer in the last 4 French Opens or the previous Wimbledon, and the Australian Open (where I really felt all hope was lost). I could stick pins in him when he beats Fed, but at the same time his record against him is what makes their match ups so special.

I will genuinely feel that hole in the tennis world when Nadal retires.

As for Djokovic, I know how much I admire the guy when he beats Federer from 3-5 15-40 down in a US Open Semi Final 5th set with an awesome return winner. I should have wanted to put my foot through the screen, but instead it made me laugh.

And Murray is Britain's greatest hope!

How can anyone who doesn't know the player personally can "hate" on that player? I don't hate any of the listed player, and I'm a fan of tennis. I'm pretty easy to please and I like watching a good tennis match and when one or more of the player listed here is playing, it's at least a good if not an excellent match.

I don't care about the players' habits/annoyances and I don't judge them for that either. I am sure I have some too.

But if I have to choose, this is my preferred matchups that usually produce high quality, nail biting, hard hitting exchanges:

Nadal v. Djoko
Fed v. Djoko
Fed v. Nadal
Murray v. Djoko
Murray v. Nadal
Murray v. Fed

I'm a Fed fan.

I really like Andy and I will always root for him as long as his opponent isn't Roger!

Well, Rafa. Altough it's fun to watch him, I do think he is one dimensional and sometimes I just feel he doesn't deserve to be as successful as he is. But when he loses or especially when he gets upset at first I gloat but then I feel sorry for him until he wins again, ha ha!

Nole is a great player but too much attention wh****g going on there for my taste! There's something highly irritating about him.
