Although different, we have the same problems with live chat that we do with private messaging. From TW's point of view: 1) dialog can spiral out of control to quickly and without us even knowing it's going on. We moderate too much for some and too little for others - if we did nothing, everyone on this board would be wondering where they're going and why they're in a handbasket. 2) There would be lots of great content lost entirely or at least organized too poorly to be of any value. Never say never but we need to settle into this new board for a good while before opening a new can of worms.

PS: I wasn't the one that voted No.

Having A chat would be nice.BUTI agree with TW.They can't be everywhere.Plus There be chatter's who will abuse the chat an there be some chatters who would want to cyber.instead of chatting about tennis. I know Cause I been to some chatrooms. Just my 2 cents ...

Admin, yeah I remember that was the case with not having a live chat on the old board. You really can't have too much control with live chat of course, but the good thing is there is no permanent record of the chats, so if people are talking about competitor's, only the chatters there at that time would see the messages. I tried to set up a date where we would all log on to a yahoo chat room, but then some didn't know how to get in and it was just too difficult to schedule a time good for everyone. Having it here would just make it easier.

I think it would be cool to be able to ask how to tie a knot and have someone tell u or maybe even show u on webcam. For sure there is room for abuse, that's why I added that 3rd option.

Anyhow was just a though, like I said I know there are tons of other things to work on here, some of which I keep pestering about, lol.
