I watched her match against kimmy on friday and this girl is MEAN! damn she hits the ball hard! anyone know the specs on her gear?

btw, i've been having should er problems for a long time now, and saturday morning i went and hit on a backboard for a while trying the 2 hander from both sides... i imagine it looked a little silly, especially since i was whackign the first few into the parking lot, but after i got the rythmn and timing down, and got my feet right and adjusted the grip just slightly it is great! and no real shoulder pain to speak of... may have to keep this up :D

Luxlon big banger is notorious for causing pain in some people. Try switching strings to something softer. Of course, if you are using anything below 12 ounces you are putting your body in jeopardy too.

looked like an n six one 95 to me but it has a 16x20 string pattern, so it must be an ntour with a 6-1,95 pj or a custom drilled six one 95. im guessing its the ntour.

Looks like an nCode Six-One 95 but it doesn't have the PWS weights at the 3 & 9 o'clock postions. Damn, I cringe everytime I see a paintjob. It's so wrong.

BTW...Peng looked very so-so against Mary Pierce. Wha happened?

i think she was maybe a little suprised she played so well against clisters... she's young without a lot of experience. i didn't get to see much of that match, but she made a lot of errors and just wasn't as sharp... happens to us all, especially under that kind of pressure.

She went on to play double that night after Kim's match. She said she was really tired saturday morning. Her two-hands-both-sides needs fast footwork.

The roundish head shape suggests a painted Prince racquet to me.

Peng was forced to play the early day semi even though she played until late into the night the night before with both singles and doubles (3 setter) night matches. She was pooped. Very unfair to Peng IMHO.

same thing with sugiyama in the final... she was exahusted... but man she's got heart!

i tried that hitting both forehands and backhands 2 handed... foot work is soooooooooooooooooooooooo important... this sounds bad, but my butt (muscles!) hurt this morning after a 2 hour session in 90 degree heat against a backboard sunday morning... just from runnign and to get down to low balls... then again, i have an excuse for when my ass hurts ;)

It was said that Peng doesn't know what racquet she is using, either. Her coach prepares gears for her. But it is not a ncode6.1 95.

In an interview in some tennis magazine in China, she said she actually knew nothing about her racquet!!! The racquet is specially designed for her by Wilson with the request of her coach.

it might be a nPro...

That's the only racket out on Wilson's line that doesnt have the PWS.

is that lead tape @ 3 and 9 on her frame? if so, isn't it odd that if wilson and her coach custom designed her racquet, that they'd have to add lead tape, instead of just making the stock frame to the correct specifications?
