I just got Golfer's elbow for the first time after playing tennis for 20 years.
I've been offered a good deal on a Kennex racket but it is a 4 1/4 grip.
I use a 4 3/8. Am I asking for more trouble with a smaller grip or could I load it up with extra grip tape? Thanks

Probably not a good idea. Loading up the grip with tape will increase the swingweight, which could add to the stress on your vulnerable joint.

Lots of folks have had real success using the PK frames to beat TE. Why not buy the one you want new in the correct grip size? The incremental cost will still be much less than the dollars you'll spend on medical care if you aggravate you elbow with your proposed solution. Just a thought.

I had a similar problem when I had to confront TE. I found a PK 5g for sale that had a 4 1/2 grip size...I preferred a 4 5/8. Anyway, I bought the racquet and a heat shrink sleeve. Solved the grip size priblem and didn't add weight to the handle. Over time the PK solved the TE problem too.

just use heat shrink wrap, or just a few layers of packing tape on the handle will do it, it doesnt take much to increase from 1/4 to 3/8... the weight you increase on the handle actually makes the racket more headlight, which is GOOD for TE or GE.

good luck

I've recently developed serious golfers elbow which I think are due to my Fisher Pro #1. I love this frame but need to change. I wanted to demo a ProKennex but there is no retailer carrying them in Atlanta. Is the PK really that good for TE ??? I hate to order one from TW without playing it first, but there doesn't seem to be another option.

Good advice for your good deal PK racket. Those are good TE rackets and I would also recommend string full natural gut. My friend uses this setup and it cured his TE plus he is not a string break and the gut jobs last him atleast 6 months
