How many slams do you predict Murray to end up with. I was originally thinking 4 but now would go with 5. I see him having a 2 slam year, two 1 slam years, and two 0 slam years in the next 5 years, or something along those lines. I think he will end one or two years ranked #1, the 2 slam year, and possibly one other year.

this year is murray's prime. i see him declining from now on and he was lucky to snag one when he did.

Lol... Murray's ALWAYS lucky isn't he? He must be the luckiest guy ever to play tennis. Nothing but luck, luck, luck. All the other guys out there never have any luck. They have to work for their trophies, don't they??

I'd say he is more on the UNlucky side...
However, I can't see him getting over 4 slams total in his career. He figured it out too late...

Pretty much my thoughts. As much as I'd love to see it, I don't think Andy will dominate with any 3 slams seasons.

4 would be great - hell, 1 is great - if he doesn't win another I'll still be happy.

Three, maybe four.
Rafa and Djokovic in particular, will be a constant problem.

Just quoting Batz from another thread:

"Interestingly Murray has won his last match against the entire top 10 and 18 of the top 20."

How very lucky was Murray to do all that!!

3 total slams is my guess. It's still a 4 person contest for each slam (assuming Nadal comes back healthy and in good form).

He may not win another, or he could get about five or so. I'd go with 5.

I always said 2-3 slams for Andy. I don't really see him approaching 5 or more unless Fed retires quickly and Nadal's injury lingers.

I'd say, at least 5. Talent-wise, he is capable of double digits.

I said 5...He's in his prime now, but with Fed getting older and Nadal questionable, he's in a great position to win Majors. He's also proven that he can beat Nadal, Fed and Djokovic on the big stage.

He's also gotten better strategically and tactically, so maybe this Major win will be the start of his peak...At that point a 2-3 Major year wouldn't be out of the question, and he could win 6-7 Majors if he has a year like that.

My conservative estimate is 3 right now (somewhere around 1-3). He has too many problems with other players. Someone having just an OK day is capable of taking him out.

It'd be better if the poll was in intervals, something like 3-5 slams will be a good prediction, but I can't exactly say how many.

3-4 sounds right.. Hes a garden variety pusher so their career life expectancy is pretty short

3. I predict 1 AO,SW19,US.

He could win more...but the other 3 are tough to deal with. He could snag one in the next two years with a good draw or dominate when Fedal dissapear...but by then he wouldn't be in his prime.

3-5 slams.

I see murray on par with Djokovic's 5, maybe more. Just remembered it took Djokovic 3 years between his first and second GS. Could be the same for Muzza

Murray will never win a slam.

Murray is playing the highest level of tennis in tennis history. He is the firm favorite to win every slam other than RG from now on.

Federer actually tanked against Berdych to prevent more damage to the h2h versus Murray.

True story.
