Lots of coaches believe the rest of the world produce lots of pros because they DON'T have to go to college. Concentrate only on the goal in hand, not the pretty coeds, drunken parties, or late night snacks.
If you want to experience the pro lifestyle, which you MUST, in order to make it there, you have to GO THERE. On the road, first round to first round, living the life, the dream, the hopes, with no fallback net.
Now US coaches, that's a different story...:-?:-?

I think what made his decision easier was that some company or something like that made a contract with him that will support him, help him financially for the 4-5 years to make it. But not sure, so donīt take my word.

Don`t think it`s dumb at all. At least he can say later in life " I played pro tennis"

It's his choice, it's not like he's representing his country. In tennis, the players only represent themselves.

yes. and even if he only makes the top200 he can still have a nice and easy living coaching rich housewifes and their kids till the end of his life:). not the worst lifestyle.

Krueger is so young, so beating ANYONE in qualies, guys who've been around longer than him, is impressive. De Voest took Nalbandian to 5 sets at the US Open in 2010.
